FC Dender vs Standard
Dender Surprisingly is in the lead after 6 weeks and they have crushed all metrics. This is because they started their preparation very early and were ready while most other teams weren't and because pretty much every ball from any angle went in no matter how low the scoring % was. Both these will eventually regress to the mean as the opponents get stronger and luck fades away. However, they have also just showed good things playing with very high intensity and pressure which makes them start games well. Overall though, they remain a team with a very limited budget and I do see them falling back at some point getting in a bad streak a bit similar to Eupen in the past seasons. Standard is currently 10th in the league with 8 points mainly thanks to their coach who has shifted the focus to defense and intensity while they lacked offensive quality. They did replace their striker Kyei who didn't show very good with 2 strikers who kind of fell short at other teams. These are Zequiri and Eckert with the last one still out. The market also seems to overly have caught up with the fact that Standard is a bad team now which actually put them in a spot where they so far are +16.5% ROI on closing lines when you would have blindly bet those on all 6 matches. Dender however does even better with 4.5W-0L-1.5P and +72.25% ROI. I can see why Dender is the favorite as their streak hasn't been broken yet while Standard remains a team that is hard to bet on. I do expect Standard to just continue playing with the focus on the defense while not being good enough offensively while Dender should slow down on the scoring as their scoring % has just been unsustainably high. 1H Under 1 @ 2.00. This along with 0.1 unit on
Under 9.5 Corners @ 1.969. Standard mainly got a lot of corners against away while they created few and Dender also isn't the team that creates that many corners. Combined purely how many they create home/away the number is at 5.67 only.
