Week 14 Results | 13W-29L-4P | -1.259 Units Loss

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 14 was another difficult one not only getting hit by some bad variance but overall things just not being good enough as the biggest bet I had ended up losing with no chance whatsoever while I failed to follow my gut on some matches going for the winner. On the bright side, I did avoid losing money on Club Brugge again and the corner bets continue to do quite well overall. So from here on out I pretty much need to adjust things as results now over a longer period of time show that the edge has gotten too small at my current skill level.

So either I put in more focus and effort or I slow down the betting activity a lot and start focusing more on crypto again since we seem to be in full bull market mode again.

I'm 'only' down -3 units overall on the season which still still can be managed especially when looking at the 2nd part of last season which was only up. My goal again now this season is just to end it with a profit and avoid falling down the rabbit hole. This also isn't the first times things don't really go as I want in the past 7+ years that I have been sharing my journey. So fundamentally nothing really is broken but I need to do better and change things a bit. So the 11-day international break will be quite welcome. The good thing is that I continue to enjoy the entire process of following the league and trying to get an edge on the betting market. So from that point of view there is no point to give up on it. Off course the idea is to come out on top over time.

What I have said many times before is that one of the things that I really like about my blog is that it shows reality as it happens with absolute consistency instead of only sharing winners which 99%+ of everyone in betting and crypto is doing.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2024-2025

Only 1 Pre-Bet game which I had quite some confidence on but which got both crushed by the closing line and had no real chance of ever winning. So that sucks but these types of bets occasionally happen.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

So I'm back down to my lows of the season so far around -3 units and the chart after 600+ bets does show an overall downtrend. The good thing is that I continue to keep my stakes relatively low and I'm not about to change that. I never really chase even though I kind of have the urge to at times. Long-term profitability is the main aim which I still very much have right now. There are also 16 weeks left in the regular season so plenty of matches and opportunities.
