Week 19 Results | 21W-21L-8P | -0.138 Units Loss

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Pretty much the same pattern of this season continues as betting right now is a massive challenge to find good value always keeping stakes low as it feels like I'm chasing very thin value. These nearly aways turn out in coinflips that feel like they just lose a bit more than they win. This was another week where I easily could have ended in a small profit but ended up with a minor loss. In a way I don't really mind it that much as the damage overall stays limited knowing from experience that these things always turn around at some point. It is quite frustrating though and I also simply don't have the drive where I'm willing to put in extra time right now to try and get better. For now I would say it's not yet needed as I experienced it before in the past multiple times. So I still remain in a mode where I just keep a low profile and keep grinding while making sure I am not chasing or anything like that. The drive certainly is mildly there but there is just no way that I will all of a sudden start taking bigger bets unless I really see a clear edge and even then I likely will keep it rather low as I don't have the confidence. Pretty much always when a line clearly indicates a certain outcome, the match also manifests itself in that way. So bookies and the market are doing a great job at the moment.

There were no bets whatsoever where I had the conviction to make it a bold suggested play in the previews so I remain down -5 units on these this season and it won't be that easy to overcome this. However, the 4 seasons before resulted in a total of +48 units so everything is still on a long-term profit road.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

The chart this season clearly shows a pattern of slowly but surely losing as it has taken the opposite angle of the pink expected profit line. However, not that much is needed to turn this around and I still get confidence seeing how my closing odds on the suggested bets still are way lower systematically compared to the odds that I took. The thing also is that it just doesn't look like I all of the sudden will find great bets that offer a ton of value and that I'm willing to bet with full units. So I pretty much take things as they are thrown at me and see where it gets me by the end of the season. I am in an unbroken streak of 15+ years never having had a losing season which could very well be broken.
