For those who still don't know what Lucas Paquetá is really about, he was reported for allegedly receiving four yellow cards in different [Premier League] matches(). The games investigated are against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Bournemouth. These matches have been investigated since 2022 and 2023.
These types of manipulations have been widely discovered around the world and most of these players are from clubs that play in lower leagues and are barely in the sports news. But recently, more famous players have been the target of investigations and in this case, Lucas Paquetá is one of them.

As I said before, for those fans who follow football a lot, they will always be on the back foot because of some decisions that happen on the field, as in the case that happened in 2005, involving a scandal where journalist André Rizek exposed a scheme of result manipulation of football games.
The main target involved a referee and his name is Edílson Pereira de Carvalho and at that time, he manipulated several games in the Brazilian Championship. That year, 11 games were canceled and despite all this confusion, Corinthians were crowned champions of that edition.
Years later, match manipulation in Brazilian football was never exposed again. In 2005, the internet still did not have the expression and strength that it has today. Perhaps many more things could still be discovered with the help of the internet and investigative journalists, but I believe that when it comes to “important” names, things start to cool down.
Paquetá and the Supposed Involvement
Recently in Brazil, to be more precise, at the beginning of 2023, a scheme to manipulate the results of matches in both Series A and B for 2022 was discovered. Some players were discovered and few received exemplary punishment. Some left Brazil and continue playing normally as if nothing had happened.
But one case in particular that is causing a lot of strangeness and of course, a lot of surprise is the case of Lucas Paquetá. As a Flamengo fan, I can't let my club side speak louder, but I can say that given such evidence about the athlete who was trained at the red-black club, his situation is quite disappointing.
Paquetá had two more new accusations involving betting, the person in charge of this investigation is the English Football Federation. Last year, the FA had requested Paquetá's personal cell phone so that it could investigate call records, messages and bank transactions.
The cell phone, after a few months in the possession of the FA, was returned to Paquetá, but after a new request, the player said he no longer had the cell phone, in other words, Paquetá made an investigation instrument disappear and this attitude was not well received by the researchers.
It's surprising how a player of that level could do things like that... He already has fame, money, he's a Brazilian national team player and would play for Manchester City and the transfer just hasn't been completed, because account of these investigations. Paquetá could have been a champion with Guardiola, but it seems that these allegations will increasingly tarnish the career of such a young player.
May justice be served and if Lucas Paquetá is actually convicted, he will be a good example for other players to think often before wanting to commit these crimes.

Esses tipos de manipulações têm sido bastante descoberto no mundo e boa parte desses jogadores são de clubes que jogam em ligas inferiores e que mal saem nos noticiários esportivos. Mas de uns tempos para cá, jogadores mais famosos estão sendo alvos de investigações e nesse caso, Lucas Paquetá é um deles.
Nos últimos anos, principalmente no Brasil, as Bets tem se destacado muito e se envolvendo diretamente no principal esporte no país, no caso o futebol. A grande maioria dos clubes das principais ligas A, B e C possuem patrocinador máster que é uma Bet.

A parte ruim que aconteceu é que a Polícia Federal descobriu um escândalo envolvendo jogadores de diferentes times e jogando em diferentes categorias dentro do futebol brasileiro. É claro que, para qualquer torcedor que acompanha bem o futebol no Brasil, sempre teve aquela impressão de que alguma coisa estaria errada.
A Máfia do Apito
Como eu disse antes, para aquele torcedor que acompanha bastante o futebol, sempre ficará com um pé atrás por conta de algumas decisões que acontecem dentro de campo, como no caso que aconteceu em 2005, envolvendo um escândalo onde o jornalista André Rizek expôs um esquema de manipulação de resultados de jogos de futebol.

Talvez ainda poderia ser descoberto muito mais coisas com a ajuda da internet e de jornalistas investigativos, mas acredito que quando chega em nomes “importantes”, as coisas começam a esfriar.
Paquetá e o Suposto Envolvimento
Recentemente no Brasil, sendo mais preciso, no início de 2023, foi descoberto um esquema de manipulação de resultados de partidas tanto da Série A quanto a B referente a 2022. Alguns jogadores foram descobertos e poucos tiveram uma punição exemplar. Alguns saíram do Brasil e continuam jogando normalmente como se nada tivesse acontecido.
Mas um caso em particular que está causando bastante estranheza e claro, muita surpresa é do caso do Lucas Paquetá. Como torcedor do Flamengo, não posso deixar o meu lado clubista falar mais alto, mas posso dizer que diante de tais evidencias que estão sobre o atleta que foi formado no clube rubro-negro, é bastante decepcionante a sua situação.
Paquetá teve mais duas novas acusações envolvendo apostas, quem está a frente dessa investigação é a Federação de Futebol Inglês. No ano passado, a FA havia solicitado o celular pessoal de Paquetá para que pudesse averiguar sobre registro de chamadas, mensagens e movimentações bancárias.
O celular após alguns meses na posse da FA, foi devolvido para Paquetá, mas depois de uma nova solicitação, o jogador disse que não tinha mais o celular, ou seja, Paquetá fez desaparecer um instrumento de investigação e essa atitude não foi bem vista pelos investigadores.
É de se espantar, como que um jogador desse nível pudesse fazer umas coisas dessas... Ele já tem fama, dinheiro, é jogador titular da Seleção Brasileira e jogaria no Manchester City e só não teve a transferência concluída, por conta dessas investigações. Paquetá poderia ter sido campeão com Guardiola, mas parece que cada vez mais com essas denúncias, irão manchar uma carreira de um jogador tão jovem.
Que a justiça seja feita e caso Lucas Paquetá for realmente condenado, ele será um bom exemplo para os demais jogadores a pensar muitas vezes antes de querer cometer esses crimes.
