History
In December, my vines were producing their first bunches. I had a trip scheduled for January, exactly when they ripened, and I ended up losing a good part of the production.
You can see in the post that my small production is quite robust, and we harvested a few kilos of fruit with just one plant!
Vines, which are the plants that produce grapes, are usually managed to be arranged in parallel lines with a height that makes it easier to guide the planting and harvesting of the fruits.
I only have one vine, and I chose to direct it in three parallel wire lines that serve as a guide for the growth of the branches.

Changes in the arrangement of the branches
We have an important change compared to the previous year. Now, in addition to the three parallel guides that carry the main branches, I set up a series of secondary transversals. Difficult to explain, and difficult to photograph!

Fruiting time
The vines need to be pruned after winter, and since the weather has been challenging for the entire plant in recent years, we have been monitoring the forecasts for intense cold in my region. We can only prune them after the last cold snap.
Right after pruning, the plant reacts by starting to sprout. The growth is very fast and you need to be careful to maintain the available moisture in the soil.
Many branches should appear going in all directions. You need to be careful because if the branches grow in a place without adequate support, when the grape bunches appear, the branch may break due to the weight!

Taking advantage of my efforts, I ended up pruning an ornamental plant that I have near the vines, but I didn't like the result very much. I'm going to reduce their size even more and leave them in a line. Their development has been very uneven and I'm a little bothered by that.

Histórico
Em dezembro as minhas videiras estava produzindo os primeiros cachos. Eu tinha viagem marcada em janeiro, exatamente quando eles maduraram, e acabei perdendo boa parte da produção.
Você pode ver na postagem que minha pequena produção é bem robusta, e colhemos alguns quilos de fruta com apenas uma planta!
Videiras que são as plantas que produzem uva, geralmente são manejadas para serem dispostas em linhas paralelas com altura que facilite a condução do plantio e colheita dos frutos.
Eu tenho apenas uma videira, e escolhi direcionar ela em três linhas de arame paralelos que servem de guia para o crescimento das ramas.
Eu fiz uma postagem sobre a poda de setembro de 2023, e hoje estou trazendo a poda de setembro de 2024.
Mudanças na disposição dos ramos
Temos uma importante mudança com relação ao ano anterior. Agora além dos três guias paralelos que levam as ramas principais, eu montei uma série de transversais secundárias. Difícil explicar, e difícil de fotografar!

Tempo de frutificar
As videiras precisam ser podadas após o inverno, e como nos últimos anos o clima tem sido um desafio em todo planta, ficamos monitorando as previsões de frio intenso na minha região. Somente após a última onda de frio podemos realizar a poda.
Logo após a poda, a planta reage começando a brotação. A expansão é muito rápida e você precisa estar atento para manter a humidade disponível no solo.
Muitas ramas devem aparecer indo para todos os lados. É preciso ter cuidado pois se as ramas desenvolverem para um local sem sustentação adequada, quando os cachos de uva surgirem, o galho pode quebrar devido ao peso!
Conclusão
Aproveitando o empenho acabei podando uma planta ornamental que tenho próximo às videiras, mas não gostei muito do resultado. Vou diminuir ainda mais o tamanho e deixar elas em linha. O desenvolvimento delas tem sido muito desigual e estou um pouco incomodado com isso.
