I have come to realize the main secret to high level of productivity, my view many months ago was totally different. Not that what I knew then is now redundant or not of any importance but there is this major factor that can contribute to how productive one can be. Being productive is one thing that so many people desire but most times, it can be very hard to do. We get distracted sometimes or face some constraints that can be in our way, or we just don't have the energy at times. That is what leads to procrastination most times and before you know it, you are not working as effective as you ought to.

This main factor and the most effective hack I can say is YOUR REASON WHY, I feel that is the strongest motivation a person can have. That is why it is very important to have a reason for working towards some times. This will serve as a map or guide so you are not just aimlessly trying about 10 things together. The implication of that is that you will get confused and overwhelmed very easily. Having a reason for setting a particular goal gives a sort of clarity that just makes it all better and help you know how much you are capable of.

You see, I have written on a very related topic before and I suggested to-do lists, which isn't a bad idea till now but then, a level of dedication and commitment is needed to actually get yourself to do those things you have written down to achieve. You will constantly ask yourself why you need to do those things, the mere thought of the end result should be enough to encourage you to get to work. For instance, you are taking an online course and your reasons for taking that course is to gain mastery at the skill, have a good income, be independent, be a mentor to someone, or other different reasons. Even when you get tired or feel lazy, when your reasons for pursuing your goals come into your thoughts, you will get pumped to get back on track and do what you have to do.

This is one hack that has helped me greatly, but also, I will never underestimate the power of to-do lists and sectioning your tasks according to urgency. The feeling that comes with ticking some tasks off your to-do list and moving to the next is not something I can explain. Arranging your tasks according to how urgent they are will help to do the important tasks first and honestly, tell me what is better than actually doing the task that you know you might have probably procrastinated on. These hacks are very effective as well but at the end of the day, that ultimate factor that actually have effects on the actions you take is still very important.

Set goals, understand the reasons behind you setting those those or the results you really want to achieve, and that will boost your zeal to be as productive as you want to be. This has helped me so many times, especially when I feel low and unmotivated. Instead of feeling lost or beating myself up, I just go back to my reason why and it really pushes me to keep going.

Even with a strong reason why, some people may tend to forget that reasons along the way because of distractions. But true, having a reason to wake up every day, is very important to making one productive.

This is very similar to what I shared a few days ago about my own hack, clarity. And you're absolutely right! Many of us lose sight of where we're headed simply because we don't recognise why we're headed there in the first place. I wonder if you do something like write it down or something, like that online course you're restarting. Or perhaps it mostly a mental thing for you.

Thank you for sharing with us.
