The year 2024 was quite eventful for the CTPSB project. We had to change our strategy several times. We first had to stop the payments of dividends for delegating to the project simply because it was not sustainable anymore.
I have been managing the CTPSB project for several years now and with the decline of the CTP tribe, the dynamism wasn't there anymore. I had to make some choices that were necessary for the project and also for myself to continue the effort in a sustainable way.
We stopped our curation project and also the ranking that was linked to it in favor of following the ourpick curation project that I'm a member of. As a result, there was much less work for me and I believe the overall quality of curation has become better. Of course, this didn't make everybody happy and some people didn't see the advantage of keeping CTPSB tokens anymore if it didn't give them some advantage with upvotes. From being a community token, CTPSB has become an investment token that grows in value over time. So how did we manage to fulfill this objective?
2024 in numbers
To look at the numbers of the project, I will simply compare the data of two dates, namely 23.12.2023 and 23.12.2024.

It's interesting to see that the token value has increased more than the hive power on the underlying ctpsb account. The fact that we have managed to burn tokens pushed the APR up. Over the duration of a whole year, it's nice to see an APR of 17.4% for the CTPSB token.
Outlook on 2025
We are happy to see that the project has become very sustainable. Even if we don't produce a post every week, the return for token holders is still much higher than if they would stake the tokens and curate themselves. CTPSB is also a great token to put into reward pools because of it's value growth over time, it compensates very well for the decrease in APR when more liqudity is provided.
