I recently had a really fun battle in Splinterlands so I decided to share it with you. Basically it was a war between the backlines and even though my opponent used max level cards I still managed to come out victorious in the end using only gold league cards.

This is the battle I want to share and although my opponent has max level cards, he also has some low level cards like Wave Brood which is only level 1, but I still thought I would be defeated since he had some higher level cards and then I realized that level is important but strategy is more important.
In this battle there are 3 rules which are: Equal Opportunity, Heavy Hitters and Keep your Distance.
Equal Opportunity - In this rule, all monsters in the battle will receive the Opportunity ability and will target the opponent's monster with the lowest health.
Heavy Hitters - In this rule, all monsters in the battle will receive the Knock Out ability, which means they will deal double damage against monsters that are stunned.
Keep Your Distance - In this rule, no player is allowed to use monsters with melee attacks. Only monsters with ranged attacks or magic attacks will be allowed.
Since the Equal Opportunity rule exists in the battle, using a tank monster is not very useful since my opponent will target my backline monsters since they usually have the lowest health. However, I still used Baakjira, who, in addition to being a great tank since he has a lot of health and the Heal ability, will also apply 1 debuff to my opponent's monsters and 1 buff to my monsters, so he will be very useful even if he is not the main target of the attacks.
The Debuff that the monster Baakjira will apply to my opponent's monsters is the ability Slow and it will reduce the speed of all my opponent's monsters by -1 while Baakjira is in battle.
The Buff that the monster Baakjira will apply to my monsters is the ability Strengthen and it will increase the life of all my monsters by +1 while Baakjira is in battle.
These are just small details for the battle since my main strategy is in the backline but this debuff and this buff will be helpful anyway.
For my main strategy, I decided to choose the Wave Brood monster that has the Taunt ability, which means that it will be the main target of my opponent's attacks even if they have the Opportunity ability. To help the Wave Brood survive longer, I selected the Angelic Mandarin that has the Triage ability, so it will be able to heal the Wave Brood by 1/3 of its maximum health once per round. This is my main line of defense and my opponent used the same strategy, but my Wave Brood is more powerful since it is at level 5, so it has the Void ability, which will be of great help against magical attacks and will give me an advantage that my opponent's Wave Brood does not have. To deal damage in battle, I selected the monsters Chaos Dragon and Nerissa Tridawn. Nerissa Tridawn does not have abilities but has a strong magical attack and a large amount of health, so I consider her an excellent choice for this type of battle. The Chaos Dragon also has a strong attack and also has an ability that will be very useful in this battle, Blind.
Blind - With this ability, my opponent's monsters will have a +15% chance of missing their attack while the Chaos Dragon is in the battle.
Finally, we have Doctor Blight and his main use will be to cut Baakjira's healing with his ability Affliction when the time comes to defeat him.
I also selected Summoner Quix the Devious since he will reduce the ranged attack and speed of my opponent's monsters by -1 and this will be of great help in this battle.
Each card was selected with a purpose and after 12 long rounds I managed to emerge victorious in this exciting and fun battle.
