A Powerful Combination with the Dragon Deck

in #hive-1466204 days ago

There are many strategies in Splinterlands and, to be honest, it is difficult to choose which would be the best strategy for the battle.

There are 2 focuses that I like to have in battle, it is very simple but effective. These focuses are attack speed and attack, in this post I will try to show a little of both and with emphasis on the monster Carnage Titan, a powerful choice for causing damage in battles and which at the same time is also a great defense.

Unfortunately, the attack speed of the Carnage Titan is low, so it will not be very useful to demonstrate what I want when it comes to attack speed, but there is another card that will be very useful in this matter and it is the Void Dragon.

In the image above, you can get an overview of the Carnage Titan, it is a monster with a melee attack, it costs 11 mana and has 3 abilities.

The Carnage Titan's abilities are: Reach, Double Strike and Shield.

Reach - With this ability the Carnage Titan is able to attack in the second position.

  • Monsters with melee attacks are only able to attack in the first position, but there are exceptions which are the abilities Reach, Sneak, Opportunity and Charge. The Reach ability allows them to attack in the second position and the abilities Sneak, Opportunity and Charge allow them to attack in any position.

Double Strike - With this ability the Carnage Titan is able to attack 2x in a round. Since the Carnage Titan's attack is powerful, attacking 2x is incredible for it in battle.

Shield - With this ability the Carnage Titan only receives half damage against physical attacks, this means that melee and ranged attacks will only cause half damage against the Carnage Titan.

With these abilities, the Carnage Titan has a devastating attack and a great defense, as I mentioned before. In addition, it has a good amount of life and armor, which makes it even better and one of the best melee options in the dragon deck.

Link to the Battle

In my most recent battle with the dragon deck, I used the Carnage Titan in the second position and, although it did not need to occupy the defense role in this battle because my Void Dragon monster in the first position is also incredible, the Carnage Titan was very useful in the battle with its powerful attack and, thanks to it, my opponent's monsters were defeated more easily. However, I have to admit that it was not an easy battle because my opponent's monsters were also powerful and he also had a Carnage Titan in the battle.

There were 3 rules in the battle and they are: Equalizer, Ferocity and Fog of War.

Equalizer - In this rule, all monsters in the battle start it with the same amount of base life as the monster with the most life in the battle.

Ferocity - In this rule, all monsters in the battle receive the Fury ability, which means they will deal double damage against monsters with the Taunt ability.

Fog of War - In this rule, all monsters lose the Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities.

This battle lasted 5 rounds and all of my monsters survived the battle with full health, this just shows how useful the 2 monsters I mentioned are, they are the Carnage Titan and the Void Dragon. This powerful combination of attack speed with a powerful attack made me win the battle easily.
