Hello everyone, in this post I will talk about a strategy with the water deck that I am using frequently in the diamond league and that I have had great results with, I hope you like it.
Since I am playing in the Wild format and the diamond league is not very competitive because a good part of the players use cards that are not at the maximum level, then the battles become easier and I also do not need to spend a lot on a maximum level deck since with a gold league deck I can get great results in the diamond league.
Link to the Battle
I will use the battle in the image above as my example for my strategy, it is focused on a powerful melee attack plus a defense in the backline with healing.
In this battle there are 3 rules and they are: Taking Sides, Meleem Mayhem and Unprotected.
Taking Sides - In this battle rule, players will not be able to use monsters from the neutral deck in battle.
Meleem Mayhem - In this battle rule, monsters with melee attacks will be able to attack in any position.
Unprotected - In this battle rule, no monster will be able to have or receive armor in battle, which means they will be more vulnerable.
In the battle, I used Summoner Kelya Frendul and 6 Monsters: Diemonshark, Flying Squid, River Hellondale, Deeplurker, Angelic Mandarin and Wave Brood.
Diemonshark - This monster has a melee attack and 2 abilities, they are Trample and Enrage.
Trample - With this ability, Diemonshark will be able to perform another attack when it defeats a monster with its melee attack.
Enrage - With this ability, Diemonshark will gain +50% melee attack and +50% speed while he is not at full health.
Flying Squid - This monster has a melee attack and 2 abilities, Reach and Blind.
Reach - With this ability, Flying Squid will be able to attack in second position.
Blind - With this ability, all of my opponent's monsters will have a +15% chance of missing their attack while Flying Squid is in battle.
River Hellondale - This monster has a magic attack and 3 abilities, Resurrect, Inspire and Dispel.
Resurrect - With this ability, River Hellondale will resurrect 1 of my monsters when he is defeated, the monster will return to battle with 1 health and this ability can only be used once per battle.
Inspire - With this ability, River Hellondale will increase the melee attack of my monsters by +1 while he is in battle.
Dispel - With this ability, River Hellondale will remove all Magic Buffs after a successful attack.
Deeplurker - This monster has a melee attack and 2 abilities, Opportunity and Posion.
Opportunity - With this ability, Deeplurker will target my opponent's monster with the lowest health.
Poison - With this ability, Deeplurker will have a 50% chance of poisoning the monster he attacks, and poisoned monsters will receive 2 damage at the start of each round.
Angelic Mandarin - This monster has a ranged attack and 1 ability, Triage.
- Triage - With this ability, Angelic Mandarin will heal the monster in the backline that suffered the most damage by 1/3 of its maximum health.
Wave Brood - This monster has a ranged attack and 3 abilities, Taunt, Close Range, and Void.
Taunt - With this ability, the Wave Brood will be the main target of my opponent's attacks, with the exception of the abilities Reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak or my opponent's monster positioned in the first position.
Close Range - With this ability, the Wave Brood will be able to attack in the first position even though it is a ranged card.
Void - With this ability, the Wave Brood will only receive half the damage from magic attacks.
Kelya Frendul was the summoner I selected for this battle and she will increase the speed of my monsters by +1 and also give them +1 shield, but since there is the Unprotected rule, none of my monsters will receive shield.
The strategy for this battle is to make the Wave Brood receive my opponent's attacks while it receives healing support from the Angelic Mandarin, this way my melee monsters will be safe and will cause a lot of damage since their attack is very high and they also receive help from the ability Inspire from River Hellondale, increasing their melee attack by +1.
My opponent also has great cards but not good enough to beat my strategy and after 5 rounds I achieved victory.
