Streets of Rage 4 is a beat 'em up video game developed by Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games, and Dotemu, released in 2020. It serves as a direct sequel to Sega's classic Streets of Rage series from the 1990s, picking up a decade after the events of Streets of Rage 3. The game brings back beloved characters like Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding, and Adam Hunter, while introducing new fighters such as Cherry Hunter and Floyd Iraia. These characters unite to combat a new criminal syndicate threatening the city. The storyline remains true to the franchise's roots, focusing on gritty urban crime-fighting and maintaining the series' distinctive retro aesthetic.

Gameplay in Streets of Rage 4 modernizes the classic beat 'em up formula with updated mechanics and fluid, responsive controls. Players can choose from a roster of fighters, each with unique moves, combos, and special attacks. The game features a variety of stages filled with diverse enemies, environmental hazards, and challenging bosses. In addition to the standard story mode, Streets of Rage 4 offers various modes such as arcade, boss rush, and battle mode, providing plenty of replay value. The game also supports both local and online multiplayer, allowing players to team up and tackle the action cooperatively, enhancing the social and nostalgic experience.

Visually, Streets of Rage 4 combines hand-drawn animations with a vibrant, colorful art style that pays homage to the original games while delivering a contemporary look. The soundtrack, composed by a team including original series composers Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, alongside new contributors, blends classic and modern influences, enhancing the game's intense atmosphere. The attention to detail in both visual and audio elements helps Streets of Rage 4 stand out as a faithful yet fresh continuation of the franchise. Overall, the game has been praised for successfully reviving a beloved series with its engaging gameplay, nostalgic yet updated presentation, and a strong sense of style and atmosphere.

Wow man that game is pretty cool looking, I'll always go for the big guy characters, I'm loving the graphics and the design is, that's a lot of skills set, and at least there's health recovery im the broken boxes, great game brother. !BEER

This game really captures the old Streets of Rage feel, but with way better animation and gameplay. Pretty close to a perfect game.
