Hablando ya del artículo en sí, esta semana os traigo una más que interesante estrategia basada en el ataque a distancia con el mazo de vida. SI, has acertado, General Sloan va a ser determinante junto con alguna otra carta más que adecuada para la estrategia. Vamos con el artículo de esta semana. Comenzamos ya.
I am especially motivated to bring you this strategy with my life deck. You know I have the water deck and the Earth deck developed and they are my main assets. In the case of the life deck I have General Sloan at level 2 and a strategy that usually works well for me with the always dangerous ranged attack And you know that overloading your lineup with this type of attack can penalise you if you don't have a powerful enough tank to give our ranged cards time to unleash their power and cause the necessary casualties to take the win. Let's look at this strategy in detail below.
Me motiva especialmente traerte esta estrategia con mi mazo de vida. Ya sabes que tengo el mazo de agua y el mazo de tierra desarrollados y son mis bazas principales. En el caso del mazo de vida tengo a General Sloan a nivel 2 y una estrategia que me suele dar buen resultado con el siempre peligroso ataque a distancia. Y es que ya sabes que sobrecargar tu alineación con este tipo de ataque te puede penalizar si no tienes un tanque lo suficientemente poderoso para que de tiempo a que nuestras cartas con ataque a distancia tengan tiempo de desatar su poder y causar las bajas necesarias para llevarte la victoria. Vamos a ver esta estrategia en detalle a continuación.
There are two main cards that can never be missing in this strategy. The rest will depend on the amount of mana available and the battle conditions that arise, and so the alignment and placement of my cards may vary from battle to battle. However, the two cards that I ALWAYS include in my lineup are General Sloan, for the buff to the ranged attack it gives, and the other is War Pegasus for its special ability Shatter, very useful for destroying the shields of the cards that suffer its attacks. Depending on the rest of the variables, other cards can enter. In a second level of priority I could place a healer, Venari Crystalsmith, and the always interesting Pelacor Arbalest, which, although it is very weak in terms of vitality, has Double Strike and deals up to four points of damage per round. The combination of War Pegasus removing shield and then Pelacor Arbalest's double strike can quickly and effectively clear the opponent's field.
Hay dos cartas principales que nunca pueden faltar en esta estrategia. El resto irá en función de la cantidad de maná dosponible y de las condiciones de batalla que aparezcan y, por eso, la alineación y colocación de mis cartas pueden ir variando de batalla en batalla. Sin embargo, las dos cartas que SIEMPRE introduzco en mi alineación son General Sloan, por el bufo al ataque a distancia que otorga, y la otra es War Pegasus por su habilidad especial Shatter, muy util para destruir los escudos de las cartas que sufran sus ataques. Ya en función del resto de variables pueden entrar otras cartas. En un segundo nivel de prioridad podría colocar a un sanador, Venari Crystalsmith, y a la siempre interesante Pelacor Arbalest que, aunque es muy débil en cuanto a vitalidad, cuenta con Double Strike y causa hasta cuatro puntos de daño por ronda. La combinación de War Pegasus eliminando escudo y, despues, el doble ataque de Pelacor Arbalest nos puede despejar de forma rápida y efectiva el campo rival.
Let's get to the battle itself. This time I'm playing @archmage.deck against a backdrop of 36 available mana, usable life and land decks, and battle conditions like Counterspell, Blood and Sunder and Keep your Distance. Let's enjoy my strategy... or not.
Vamos a la batalla en sí. En esta ocasión me mido a @archmage.deck en un contexto de 36 puntos de maná disponible, mazos utilizables vida y tierra y condiciones de batalla presentes Counterspell, Blood and Sunder y Keep your Distance. Vamos a disfrutar con mi estrategia... o no.
The battle didn't go badly, right? Although they have not shined as much as they could since the opponent has not had cards with a high shield level, the combination of War Pegasus attacking first and Pelacor Arbalest attacking later is very powerful. Additionally, the buff provided by General Sloan gives Arbalest six points of ranged attack per round. Not bad in exchange for six points of summon mana. Furthermore, if we add a healer who restores life to our tank and two good defenders in the first two positions, it gives us enough time for the second line composed entirely of cards with ranged attacks to be able to damage our rivals enough.
No ha ido mal la batalla, ¿verdad? Aunque no han brillado todo lo que podrían ya que el rival no ha contado con cartas con alto nivel de escudo, la combinación de War Pegasus atacando primero y Pelacor Arbalest atacando después es poderosísima. Además, el bufo que otorga General Sloan da seis puntos de ataque a distancia a Arbalest por ronda. Nada mal a cambio de seis puntos de maná de invocación. Además, si añadimos un sanador que restaure vida a nuestro tanque y dos buenos defensores en las dos primeras posiciones nos da el tiempo suficiente para que la segunda línea compuesta en su totalidad por cartas con ataque a distancia pueda dañar lo suficiente a nuestros rivales.
