The value of time
I spent a few days at home in mandatory rest and, as I am a fairly active person, the first few days I felt locked up. I could only think about everything I was missing: going to work, choir rehearsals, taking a walk with my friends or just sitting reading in any park.
I was the personification of the saying "you don't know what you have until you lose it".
But I tried to change my point of view: what activities I had on pause, waiting for some free time, or priority in that time? And they turned out to be many.
I wrote to loved ones that I hadn't known about for a long time, I resumed some readings that I had paused, I sat down to eat with my family, we talked about day to day activities, about work, the gossip of the neighborhood... I even pulled out a skein and started knitting.
With each turn of the yarn I let go of the anxiety and decided to include these forgotten goals in my calendar. Every moment is an opportunity to pay off a debt, fulfill a promise and perfect something. I will strive not to take too much for granted or leave so much to the promise of tomorrow.
Kisses and good vibes ✨
