Splinterlands is a trading card game on the Hive Blockchain. I have been playing this game for many years as it continues to add new dynamics to its ever popular selection of different game play
You can even own and work land if the matches are not your cup of tea so to speak.
Accumulating Cards
To play Splinterlands you will need cards or the matches or for staking on your Land. Since I do both, I need even more cards than your average player. This makes it even more important for me to acquire as many cards as possible whenever possible. There are several ways to accumulate cards: buy and open packs, purchase cards from secondary market, participate in giveaways, glint earned from matches, and advancing levels or tiers within the leagues.
I was able to advancing levels within the leagues so I will be sharing that with you today.
Advancing Levels
I was able to win enough battle matches to earn enough points to unlock and more to the Modern Silver II level on the Silver Tier.
With the start of each two week season, you are reset to a lower tier based on how far you advanced in the prior season. I was reset to Silver III so i am hoping to make my way back up to the Gold tier.
By advancing to Silver II I received two medium and five small chests.
Chests can be opened without potions but by using potions you have a greater chance of getting gold or legendary cards. I always use potions if i have them because you never know when it may be your turn for those gold or legendary cards.
I like this part the best. Opening each individual chest. The anticipation of what might be is always very invigorating.
Getting more potions and merits is always good as these can be used in future chests opening and the merits can be used for acquiring additional Gladius cases which contain Gladiator cards. Another way to get more cards.
The last medium chest had six cards in it. This is enough to level up the card to level two.
