Hive is undoubtedly the best platform in the world any writer would want to be a part of. It is a platform where you can socialize, have fun, learn and at the same time earn. One unique factor that distinguishes Hive from other platforms is the fact that it gives writers the freedom to showcase their talents and also the opportunity to easily express themselves.
Being a writer involves a lot of things and it comes with a lot of thinking. You might be good at one aspect but struggle in another. Hive blockchain has made it easy and possible for writers to be able to choose between different communities of their choice to share their thoughts, believes, ideas and emotions.

There are different communities with different rules on Hive blockchain, and each of these communities tend to always find ways of becoming the best on the blockchain. I believe this is one of the reasons why @guiltyparties decided to organize this awesome challenge to shine light on these different communities by asking us to spotlight our favourite community and celebrate them. To be sincere, it was so difficult picking a single community out of so many others that have impacted positively on my journey as a writer. However, I feel this particular community has touched me in so many ways, and I really don't have any other option than to celebrate it.
I feel so many people needs to know what this community is all about because I sometimes have the feeling that majority of the people on this blockchain are yet to know about it. I'm talking about no other community than the FREEWRITERS COMMUNITY.
I am someone who finds it difficult writing about myself just like others do, I kind of prefer writing short fictional stories. This made it difficult for me to grow on Hive since every community have their rules and the kind of write-ups they want in their community. I actually never knew the freewriters community existed not until I told someone about my problems, that she had to recommend this awesome community to me.
The Freewriters Community is a supportive writing community with @freewritehouse as the admin. The community tends to create a platform for those who are creative in creating all forms of imaginative writings in whatever category it may be, Sci fi, horror or even fantasy based stories. Freewriters gives their members freedom to express themselves either in a fictional way or otherwise.
There are so many writers on this platform who feels they ain't good enough just because of what people say or think about them. They've lost their self-confidence all because someone criticized them or laughed at them for their write-ups. The freewriters community believe that everyone is a writer, and so they seek to help members believe in their selves.
The freewriters community give opportunities to members each week by organising challenges and giving out weekly prompts. These opportunities help to develop the writing skills of their members. There are challenges like the ZapFic50Friday, Zapficmonday, and the 5-Minute Daily Freewrite Prompt which help to develop the writing skills of their members. All these challenges serves as a starting point for their members to get their creative juices flowing.
The community rules are not even as rigid as that of other communities. The rules just require you to be nice and original and of course, no plagiarism. Members of the community are nice to each other, and they always encourage everyone to push harder no matter where they are in their writing journey.
The freewriters community has blessed me with the gift of knowing what I'm capable of doing. The community made it possible for me to harness my talents and to become a better writer. I will forever be indebted to the freewriters community and I kind of feel a sense of responsibility to do all I can to promote this awesome community.
