Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗
So, during the week I decided to make sharwama for my family as dinner. It was an opportunity to try something different that is filled with so much creamy and spicy flavors. Most times when we crave sharwama we stop by at the Shawarma spot in my neighbourhood to order for some but i wanted it homemade today.
By the way, there were some important ingredients that were missing in my sharwama such as Ketchup and hotdogs. I didn't want to go through the stress of going to buy them when i have most of the ingredients at home. Also, i made my sharwama bread (pita bread) from the scratch.
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE SHARWAMA BREAD
- 300g of flour
- 1 tsp of salt and sugar
- 1 tsp of baking sugar
- 150ml of water
- Butter
HOW TO MAKE SHARWAMA BREAD
Add the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and butter in a bowl
Mix all together. Add some water and mix until you have a smooth mixture
Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover for about 20 minutes
Next transfer the dough to a flat surface and divide it into about 5 to 7 balls
Sprinkle some flour on the flat surface (or worktop) and roll all the balls one after the other until it is flattened.
- As you're rolling each ball, place it on the frying pan for about a minute and cook until its sightly brown. Flip to the other side and cook for another 30 seconds. Your sharwama bread is ready.

Sharwama is a snack that can be eaten at any time of the day. Instead of using chicken some people prefer beef or a combination of the two. There are also preference to how spicy and creamy it is. The essense of making an homemade meal is to have control over everything- you decide the quantity of fillings you want and every other thing especially of you are very careful about your diet.
Thanks for your time.
