I think that both questions posed by the Ladies of Hive Community are fused into one for me, because what I choose to do with no reward is something I can do for hours on end. Good evening ladies and happy new week.
What is that thing I could do, one talent that I could receive and not be rewarded for it? Well, this brings me to the first question. What is that one topic I can talk about and never run out of words for? I think I have said it countless times and that would be the topic of the mind.
The mind is an entity which till date, scientists have yet to fully understand. They have explanations of how the brain works, the body systems but they are yet to discover what exactly the mind is composed of. This is because the mind is an entity and a living consciousness which means it is spiritual. The mind is a pool of overwhelming ability and potential and can only be wielded by the most aware of all the gifts it holds.
I became interested in the power of the mind at a very young age. I would notice how my thoughts, good or bad, would come to life. As I grew and consumed more material on this projectile, I learned that man is a god when he conquers his mind. This also proved without reasonable doubt that the battles man faces, the worry, trouble, anxiety, is all in the mind.
I don’t know how I can possibly explain this phenomenon in simple words. The mind is like rubber and as such, has the neuroplasticity feature which is to expand and grow with what is fed to it. The difference is that the mind does not know what is good or bad. The mind takes what you feed it and imprints the power of life on it. See, it would take you believing in the spiritual to get to this point of consciousness.
This leads me to the second question because one talent I would like to have and use with no reward is the ability to open the minds of people around me to see what is possible. I want to start with the little ones, to help them realise that all they need is right within them. Their subconscious holds the very key to their freedom.
This art though can be practiced and honed for the use of good. It takes time as the artist needs to have mastered the very pattern through which this piece can be dealt. I will never forget meeting a great artist. I was introduced to him by someone I knew. We got talking and I was awed how much he loved development and improvement. We had one thing in common, we believed in the power of the mind.
Fast forward, we played a game of cards, known as WHOT in Nigeria. I beat him consecutively, three times in a row and then he looked me straight in the eye and said, “that is the last time you win this game”. It was like a switch flipped and he surpassed me by five games. I couldn’t understand how he did that and I asked him to explain what happened because that was an inexplicable display of dominance, and I knew it was only possible from within.
He explained in detail, one which I can’t fully go into, that he used his mind and deployed the power of thought transmutation. I was mind blown. He then advised me to go read The 48 Laws of Power.
You see, I can never run out of words when it comes to the mind and soon, I will be able to let the young ones understand this. To teach them that the mind is their arsenal and only resource they need in this thing called life.
