This landscape is found south of Salta, one of the larger cities in northern Argentina. This photo of orange / red landscape was taken on a drive from Salta to Cafayate. Argentina has stunning landscape like this in Quebrad de Cafayate. This landscape has been formed during thousand of years by water and wind erotion. Impressive rockformations along the way made us stop many times before we reached the small town Cafayate. The area around this time is wineland.
