The photo shows the U-Bein Bridge, located in Amarapura. This is a small town, a short drive south of Mandalay, Myanmar. This town was once the capital of the country. Today I think it makes up part of Mandalay. The bridge is well-known and a popular tourist attraction. I was here in the late afternoon and stayed to wait for the sunset. The bridge is built from teak and one of the oldest wooden bridges in the world. It looks a bit worn when you look at it. When walking on it, I noticed the cracking noise from the planks. Some of them are missing, so you have to watch your step. A great place to sit on one of the benches watching people walk in both directions.
