Last weekend a photographer friend of mine organized a portrait workshop in the city and was looking for people who wanted to attend, he was doing a test with a new location that he was thinking of renting for future photographic productions, in this case he organized this not for profit, he was doing a small test and if everything went well he would proceed to advertise and have this small job.
About 4 photographers attended, there was a brief introduction, some technical aspects of portrait photography were mentioned, we talked about lighting and expressed some ideas together with Jenn and then proceeded to take some pictures.

El fin de semana pasado un amigo fotógrafo organizó un Workshop de retratos en la ciudad y estaba buscando personas que quisiesen asistir, el estaba haciendo una prueba con una nueva locación que piensa rentar para futuras producciones fotográficas, en este caso organizó ésto sin fines de lucro, estaba haciendo una pequeña prueba y si todo iba bien procedía a hacer publicidad y tener este pequeño trabajo.
Asistimos unos 4 fotógrafos, hubo una breve introducción, se mencionaron algunos aspectos técnicos en la fotografía de retratos, hablamos de iluminación y expresamos algunas ideas en conjunto con Jenn para luego proceder a tomar algunas fotos.
The place was very good, to be honest. An old house with large windows and good natural light, in addition to this there was furniture available that we used for different themes. Everything went better than expected I guess, some of the photographers were starting in the world of photography and the model helped them with some suggestions apart from the organizer, they both have a lot of experience in this field and it is much easier to work in this sense.
During this workshop we only used natural light although we had different lights and flashes available, the objective was to take advantage of the natural light that entered the building through all its windows. We only used two rooms but the place offers much more, it is really interesting what can be done there, mentioning that there were old accessories that we did not use.

El lugar era muy bueno, la verdad. Una casona antigua con grandes ventanales y buena entrada de luz natural, además de esto había a disposición mobiliarios que utilizamos para diferentes temáticas. Todo salió mejor de lo que se esperaba supongo, algunos de los fotógrafos estaban empezando en el mundo de la fotografía y la modelo los ayudo con algunas sugerencias aparte del organizador, ellos dos tienen mucha experiencia en este ámbito y es mucho más fácil el trabajo en este sentido.
Durante este workshop solo usamos la luz natural aunque teníamos a disposición diferentes luces y flashes, el objetivo era aprovechar la luz natural que entraba al edificio por todas sus ventanas. Solo usamos dos habitaciones pero el lugar ofrece mucho más, es realmente interesante lo que se puede hacer allí, mencionando además que habían accesorios antiguos que no utilizamos.
We finished with a small test with another type of light, in which the organizer prepared a scene with RGB lights, two in fact, we tried to suppress all the natural light and turned on the equipment, we did variations with different tones and the result was very attractive and interesting. This was great because I was actually planning to buy this kind of lighting equipment for my future productions that I have in mind to do very soon.

As for Jenn, I already knew her work, she is a model with a background and has been working with many photographers in the city for a long time, she is very well known in fact. I look forward to working together with her on a solo production.

Terminamos con una pequeña prueba con otro tipo de luz, en la cual el organizador preparó una escena con luces RGB, dos de hecho, intentamos suprimir toda la luz natural y encendimos los equipos, hicimos variaciones con diferentes tonos y el resultado fué muy atractivo e interesante. Esto fué genial porque de hecho tenía pensado comprar este tipo de equipos de iluminación para mis futuras producciones que tengo en mente hacer muy pronto.
Esas fotos las compartiré en futuros posts cuando haya terminado el proceso de edición.
En cuanto a Jenn, ya conocía su trabajo, es una modelo con trayectoria y hace tiempo que trabaja de esto con muchos fotógrafos de la ciudad, es muy conocida de hecho. Espero poder trabajar en conjunto con ella en una producción individual.
