Hello everyone, the truth is that I've been a while lost in the community, because I've been trying to find the right time to play and show you some of my adventures.

And what do you think I found a hidden gem that you may not have seen, I mean "brothers in arms hell's highway" which represents war moments during the Second World War telling its story in a raw way and even touches sensitive issues during this conflict, but today I'm not for that, but rather to show you the gameplay mechanics and how I used these to make my mission being a complete beginner in the battlefield.

I think the strong point to highlight in this title has to do with the mechanics that I have not seen in other war video games, because I can lead squads with different functions for the war so despite being in first and third person in some cases is not even close to video games like Call of Duty in the campaign mode, because in brothers in arms we decide ourselves strategically how to attack and guide our soldiers.

Well, since you already know more about what's going on, let's start this battle!

While I was getting used to it, the first thing I did was to open my tactical map where I can explore much of the terrain and thus have a broader view of what blind spots or entrances I can use to advance with my squad.

I ordered the squad to position themselves behind that car, so you should already realize how these mechanics work, the only thing is that I have to come up with a plan before attacking that barn full of Germans.

I climbed to the top of the mill and saw enemy soldiers cruelly dragging a woman to the top of the mill.

Once I had the enemy positions mapped, I super how to move forward by first deploying the two squads to take cover behind a sturdy wall.

The first troops were easy to defeat, but it became a little stronger when we decided to approach that barn where we did not know how many enemies would be inside, that caused one of my soldiers was badly wounded, but this problem would bring consequences, because in this game one less soldier in the squad would mean a disadvantage leading to an imminent defeat.

Because it is not like in the typical video games where you go out in the middle of the war, you're alone against the world, here in one way or another a complete team is required to advance while strategically assigning a role to each allied soldier as you will see below.

As I had already lost one of my soldiers I should not screw up again, so I ordered the first artillery squad to go up to the second floor of the barn, because from there we would have more vision, while the other soldiers would be from the first floor preventing the entry of the enemies.

From above I did have a shooting advantage, however, when I came down I was almost killed by Nazi shrapnel.

After cleaning that barn, I led my soldiers towards the main street, where a group of enemies spotted us in the distance, so a crossfire started from which we had to flee, surrounding them in the crop field.

We arrived at the orchard, which was plagued by enemies, however, I had the advantage of the distance between walls, so I would devise my next strategy and hit them fast.

As you can see on the map, there is a great distance between the walls, but most of the enemies are in the center, so the best idea would be to concentrate the fire there and thus take advantage of the moment to surround them, here also came into play another tool that had not previously used in the barn I mean the rocket launcher or bazooka.

biahh 2024-06-21 14-47-46-298.jpg

I prepared the blast squad and ordered them to demolish the first enemy post blocking the passage to the wall.

biahh 2024-06-21 14-45-55-940.jpg

It was a resounding success, but I still had to clean the heart of the orchard.

biahh 2024-06-21 14-56-18-426.jpg

I quickly deployed the squads near the rock wall as I had planned, I think this is where I had the hardest time, since there was a soldier shooting from the top of that church, the only way to get rid of him was with the sight and pulse of my own rifle.

biahh 2024-06-21 14-49-58-285.jpg

As I thought of it I had them concentrate the bazooka fire in the center, knocking those soldiers down and blowing them to bits.

biahh 2024-06-21 15-02-16-349.jpg

I certainly did well when I discovered that I could handle both squads at the same time, thus taking advantage of artillery and bazooka to destroy enemy cover.

biahh 2024-06-21 15-00-49-038.jpg

From the other end I positioned myself to end the Germans' blind spot once and for all.

Now that I had surrounded and annihilated these troops, we stopped for a while without letting our guard down, meanwhile I looked around me to contemplate the chaos and the bodies destroyed by the explosions of our bazooka, in fact some soldiers were retreating when they heard the shells exploding near their posts.

Without a doubt I put my skills as a beginner in the war, and what caught my attention in this game is those functions that make it a little more complex as it would be a real war conflict, as it requires much more strategy than just shoot and run, because it is about giving good orders while having patience in the process.

Another detail that I will not miss is the option to play in first and third person, but I personally think that in open field it is better to play in third person behind some cover.

I appreciate those of you who read to the end, so it would be gratifying to see your comments on this!
