I hope you are feeling great, I'm very happy to share my first dragon drawing in #Holozing so as you may know a few weeks ago they revealed these majestic creatures, so I've decided to draw the dragon of the “grass” element, as far as I can see it doesn't have an official name yet so I've given it a very simple name like: “Grass dragon” xd...
Since it's about dragons, we usually always tend to see these creatures as colossal and even dangerous beings because of their ferocious claws and various powers; however, I think that everything has a cycle and in such a case the holozing dragons were once tender creatures, so with some imagination I wanted to recreate a kawaii version of the lawn dragon.
Starting with a simple silhouette of the dragon, I wanted to draw it with lines a little thicker than usual, because in this type of kawaii drawings this kind of lines go very well.
If you look closely at this version of the dragon, I wanted to make some extended wings on its back, because even though it lives in the forest, it would be great if it could fly short distances to climb trees or rocks.
After a while, I already had in mind every detail in the body of the little dragon, I made some pupils with dots that will later be illuminated and at the same time its source of tenderness.
Now the first layers of color I did following green tones like the original drawing, but without so much brightness, on the other hand, I painted the wings in a more subtle pink, as it gives a visually striking appearance.
However, the shadows and glows were the easiest thing to do, even easier than my previous drawings, because being kawaii it focuses on simplicity and tenderness.
Now that I had almost all my drawing ready, I wanted to add a beautiful detail to the dragon's leg, as I felt the claws had a perfect pose to put a flower, and if you get close to the screen I have drawn a heart on the bud.
