A walk along the sandy seashore

in #hive-1555302 months ago

On this beautiful mid-week morning on my favorite walking day, I will share with you in #wednesdaywalk my mid-June experience from the coast at Malgrat de Mar in Costa Brava, Spain.

I will share my impressions from walking along the coast, because it seems to me that the coast is not great for swimming.
Although the temperature is high, due to the strong wind, the waves are high and entering the water is difficult. At the same time, the sea temperature is still low, probably due to the open sea. The question is when currents with warmer water will come, but then there is a risk of jellyfish appearing, which swim with warm sea currents.
And the biggest problem for swimming (here I mean children frolicking in the shallows) is that there are no shallows.
As I did not manage to get into the water and bathe, I could only assume from the reactions of other bathers that a greater depth begins immediately.

Until the moment when from the roof of the hotel where I was staying, I didn't see a ship on the shore.
At first, I thought the ship had run aground, but when I zoomed in on my cell phone camera, I saw that it had docked at the shore to offload its passengers.
Such a big ship...
Knowing that the coast is really without shoals, a great depth immediately sets in, as soon as it is possible for a ship of this size to dock alongside it, like a pier...

It doesn't matter, the deep and cold water, the high waves and the wind didn't stop me from walking.
Kilometers of sandy beaches with fine pebbles and waves that cool my feet while I look for interesting pebbles.

Beautiful moments of rest and relaxation for #WednesdayWalk organized by our friend @tattoodjay, to whom I wish a speedy recovery and continue posting beautiful posts of his Wednesday Walk.

Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you

The Costa Brava gets its name precisely because it is unfavourable for bathing, hehe. It makes up for it with the great beauty of its beaches and with those pebbles that allow you not to get out of there with sand even in your ears. 😁 I haven't been lucky enough to visit it yet, but I hope to be able to do it someday. Thanks to your video I have moved there for a while and that is always a wonderful experience. From the boat docking in the middle of the beach it is better not to comment. That is the part of tourism that is not welcome, although it is the least abundant that attracts the most attention.

I should have asked before i went to that region 🙂

As far as I've seen, the region is a favorite among English tourists of an older age, who rarely leave luxury hotels, enjoying luxury by the pool and walks along the coast (like I did).

Thanks for your support dear @palomap3

Older people (from any country) make the same in every travel destination! 🤣 But that region has plenty of beautiful places to visit, it has a lot of history and culture to know. At the lest you want to rest, then the pool and luxury plan is perfect. 😁

We learn from the elders, we prepare for retirement days (when that time comes) 🙂

As for the tours in that area (just to find time and decide in which community to post...), I have to write a post about an attraction in Figueres, you can probably guess which one 😁

Oh, yes!! The museum with big eggs. 😁

A walk along the shore is always so relaxing, even if you don't bathe. The view of the sea is beautiful and you can also find some little treasures in the sand

Besides walking on the shore, when there are waves, I also like to spread out a towel, lie on it and enjoy the sounds that the waves make.

Congratulations @duskobgd! Your post brought a smile to the TravelFeed team so we have sent you a smiley. Keep up the good job. 🙂

Cute little pebbles there :D

Yeah, the water in June is still cold, even here in Costa Blanca, wich is always warmer than Costa Brava. In my opinion, the best month to come and enjoy swimming is September 😉

the best month to come and enjoy swimming is September

My sister stayed on the same coast, more precisely in the same hotel last year in September 🙂
She had plenty of waves too. The sea was warm, but jellyfish appeared...

I was not allowed to look at the pebbles 🤣 and without them I had excessive baggage...

Jellyfish also like warmer water 😋

Pebbles - there is always an empty pocket for a pebble :D

If I had a talent for drawing (and a hobby like you), I believe I would fill my pocket 😁

I don't have a talent for drawing either... but true, I have the beach full of pebbles very close to me hahaha, so I can't bring home every time as many as I want 🤣

Truck that would be ok for that 😁
