Hello people!
A nice fast trip, a fleeting visit that leaves us enchanted with what we see around us, because Italy is all charming, and its towns too. So in the Veneto region we discovered a little gem that, despite not having enough time, we were able to get to know and explore quickly, a nice experience in a beautiful Italian town called Castelfranco Veneto.
In this town in the northeast of Italy we find stately villas that can only be seen from afar, owned by well-known, rich and sometimes famous people, such as the owner of a motorcycle racing team, or actors, etc. But we enjoy this environment where delightful country architecture and native bright green vegetation blend into a pleasant landscape.
Movies have been filmed in these surroundings, they are beautiful towns, and even Hollywood has come to other nearby towns to film films because of the special charm and that air of another era that remains in a beautiful and impassive way.
And as we walk around the place we discover more historic buildings, with medieval towers, where people enjoy a good time in the sun, and other impressive facades carved in stone.
But this old air and relaxed atmosphere are not only noticeable in the buildings and streets, but also in places that remain, regardless of the passing of time. And so, surprisingly, we discovered an old-fashioned loom that is still working, and a open-market fair of old objects and many books where people stroll around and observe out of the corner of their eye some interesting title or thing. Quiet moments of pleasure in a delightful place.
But we return to the past, to history and monumental architecture. And as could not be missing in the region of Venice, a sculpture of the winged lion, it is the symbol of the Most Serene Republic of Venice, a superpower in its time, in all the cities that were under its rule we will find the magnificent winged lion sculpture somewhere. Here it was easy to see.
With the little time we have, we have to hurry, and the best is yet to come, a charming, simple and beautiful church, and the famous castle, with a fortified wall, robust and strong. But also in front of it a delicate and elegant sculpture, of a character of the time, called Giorgione. Who, from what I remember and from the image itself, was an important writer. (I have not checked it on Wikipedia).
The problem was the rush, having to leave quickly and take quick and bad photos, hope despite this issue you like the lovely Castelfranco Veneto. And well, it does not matter, it can always be an excuse for a new visit, more calmly, to such a wonderful town that we loved. A serene, beautiful atmosphere, a place with a lot of history and charm.
