This year has been a beautiful one though filled with ups and downs but still, it is a keeper. I got to make new friends and lost some I thought had my back but were just hanging around for benefits. I lost the woman I wa with (on that particular note, my friends say I dodged a bullet if you know what I mean.lol), finished my Bachelor's Degree in Music, moved out of my father's house to my own place and started a number of small time businesses.
It has been full of fun and I must confess that one of the key factors to my free mindedness or joy even in the troubling times have been the #splinterlands. Over the months, I have tried drawing characters in a different light and in ways I never believed I could as a musician. This push to try new things and the courage too have not only helped me make some wonderful fanrart but also gather courage to face real life situation and put them throught the steps of my drawing. The lineart in blue ink, followed by black and then the occasional layering till the work is done.
I honestly don't know if I will be able to make my entry in time for next week before the New Year and I have already missed wishing you a Merry Christmas so I decided to drop this just in case.
So in short, for everything, I am grateful

The card

The first thing I drew was the lineart. The process was simple but I sensed some mismatch which I would have to correct later on. This lapse is something that as been recurring in my wrok for some time now and I assure you that I am working on it.

I then moved on to reaffirm all that I had earlier drawn starting with the head..

I didn't stop till the wholebody was complete and just then, I gave a sigh of relief

The next step was to color the hair blue and to achieve some depth, I added some black to the hair at strategic points

I then proceeded to painting her Tiara and the parts of her gown that had Purple Red with little touches of Blue to achieve a specific effect. I also at this point shaded he body as well as her neck piece

The next step was to color her gown elegantly and in rhythm so it shows her estate.

The last step as always is to cover up whatever is left

The materials I used while making this sketch are blue, black and red pens from two brands: BIC and SCHNEIDER

You are more than welcome to stop by any time you feel like it. I promise to always keep you entertained with my art.
