Cordial greetings to the creative enthusiasts of this wonderful community @diyhub and I welcome you all to my blog, I hope you are all doing great and fine. Over time Crafting is one of the many things I have gotten good at, and the art of creating craft from recycled materials Is not only an expression of creativity but also a step towards environmental sustainability. Today I was at home bored and thinking of something to do when an idea of making a bicycle came into my mind, at first I was confused as to which material to use to perform this craft but as I checked around I saw an old newspaper and I decided to use it to craft this miniature bicycle, Stay tuned.
MATERIALS USED
• Newspaper
• Scissors
• Paper cutter
• Red & Black acrylic colour
• Brush
• Folding iron
• Adhesive
• Evostik gum
MAKING PROCESS
step I
To begin with, I took my newspaper and cut them into several pieces and then I used my folding iron and folded it into many pieces that will be enough for the whole creation.
step 2
The next thing I did was to construct the tyres of the bicycle by making a circle shape from the folded newspaper and I also used one of the folded papers to construct a small cycle. Having done that, I placed the small cycle in the middle of the big one and cut eight (8) short papers to connect the two cycles. I duplicated it as shown below.
step 3
After doing that, I then used my adhesive to attach a long folded paper to the two tyres to connect them together.
step 4
Here I then brought two folded paper, cut them and attach them to one side of the wheel.
step 5
After making that part, I then constructed the place for the seat and I gummed a short piece of paper on it to serve as a head tube, I gummed another piece of paper from the centre of the two-wheel to the head tube and another piece of paper was gummed from the seat rube to the head tube.
step 6
I then made circle with the folded newspaper and then I also made the seats of the bicycle and also the handle.
step 7
Then I cut out a rectangular cardboard and gummed my bicycle on it so it would stand and made some modification to it.
step 8
As I continued, I then used my black and red acrylic colour to colour my bicycle craft
After crafting it out, I was finally done and here's my final result
The art of making a miniature bicycle from newspaper is a beautiful example of how creativity can intersect with sustainability. This craft transforms waste into meaningful and visual appealing object, proving that even the simplest materials can result in extraordinary creations. I hope you all liked my post and I have come to the end of my creation, Until next time.
