While in a PIMP strategy session this morning, we came up with a brilliant idea - a mascot for HIVE was suggested.
Of course the group mentioned that there were so much other "hives" and they all use "bee" and honeycomb related jargon, so I had the brilliant idea to think laterally and move to "bee adjacent" creatures.
Thanks to Jim from THGaming for the quick ai work:
Welcome Dusty the Mite!
Our new mascot for HIVE, Dusty lives among the bees in their swarm and on their bodies.
He is part of their ecosystem!
His cute round edges and non-threatening demeanor is sure to enamor children and parents alike to our blockchain.
But in case we don't get enough votes for Dusty, we always have a plan B, another "bee-adjacent" creature, the colorful bee-eater:
Check out this source of the San Diego Zoo, it sounds like we could even do a collab with them, possibly vis-a-vis @ackza and the SAND community.
"we eat bees" is not perhaps the best way to phrase it, but these birds eat all sorts of insects. Maybe we can paint these "bugs" in a bad light?
I am still thinking of more "bee-adjacent", we definitely want to avoid anything like human-related involvement with the bees....
As that would seem too much like "milking the system".
Tell me your ideas! The best bee-adjacent creature in the comments gets a super mega bonus upvote from the treasure hoard.
