This is my entry for this week's qurator photo quest, and this week the theme is green. If you wish to join the competition please kindly read and follow the rules and the guidelines on this announcement post Qurator's Photo Quest | Green
And for the entry I have this interestingly weird green creature that I found near my parents's house.
I believe I have seen this creature before but still the shape of this green insect amazes me. The color of this small insect is all green, and as you can see in the photos below, you can guess how well it will hide and blend with the leaf it is resting on. it matches perfectly with the leaf color, so it is a little bit hard to look from a distance.
From a little search on Google, I found out that this insect is actually a plat hopper. Dictyophara europaea, is the type species of planthoppers belonging to the subgenus Dictyophara (Dictyophara): in the family Dictyopharidae, and tribe Dictyopharini.
Although it is said that it mostly lives in European, but apparently it already makes way to the tropical island of Bali. Maybe it is already thriving in the other island here in Indonesia.
