I woke up this morning feeling all dizzy and lazy, I tried my best to move forward by picking up each activities needed to be done from the top of list. Making a schedule of my daily activities has been the order of the day, it helps provide a sense of direction especially on days I'm unwilling to do anything. Trying to pick up the pace despite my unwillingness, I started by starting new missions for today on my risingstar account after that, I checked in on the tokens I'm mining and list it goes on and on.
Since today is Saturday, it grants me the privilege of being lazy a little compared to other days of the week, which is why I love it. It happens to be my second favourite day of the week. Still in my room doing stuff I heard a knock on my door, it was my junior brother who came to inform me that my dad was planning on visiting the farm. I kind of thought about it a little before giving him a reply, I mean I had to consider how going to the farm which happens to be an activity that was not part of my activities list for today. Knowing fully well that it will affect everything else I had planned today, I look up at the door, I was about to say something when a strange thought crossed my mind. For the past few weeks, I have managed to keep to my daily routine but I have not really engaged in any outdoor activity, can't even remember the last time I stepped out.
Probably this is my chance to finally go outside for some fresh air, so I informed him that I will be tagging along. Quickly dressed up, went outside and we drove all through to the farm. It has been awhile have been here but everything looks good. We were just there for inspection and probably pick up some Vegetables on our way back. Seeing how there were some weeds among the vegetables, I decided to get some work done by pulling out the weed. I was already feeling all energetic already, my farm boy vibes is back 😅.
While diligently doing what I was doing, something looks like a bug flew by my ear. the truth is I get irritated by such things easily, so I decided to trace it's origin but it was long gone. I kept doing my thing till it flew by ear again, this time it feels like the bug is trying to mess with me and I wasn't in the mood for such pettiness. I hurriedly stood up but before I could catch up to it, it was already gone again. I knew it was going to be back, so I patiently waited for its return, just like I expected it came flying back again unaware I have been waiting. About to fly by me again, I landed the bug a dirty slap, yeah a real dirty slap because my hands were filled with mud and I slapped the bug, I guess that makes it a dirty slap.
After slapping the bug, it landed in bowl of water. It didn't seem to be affected by the slap but then I discovered it was a cockroach, I was pissed because I hate those things.
My initial plan was to pour the water away and squash the cockroach with feet but I felt why not let it play around in the water then when I'm done I will come deal with it. So I left the cockroach there floating in the water, it was as if the cockroach was bathing in a tub.
After a few minutes I was done with what I was doing, I went straight to the cockroach. Believe me I have been thinking of all kind of ways to take my revenge on the cockroach. I got to the bow of water where the cockroach was, I was little bit worried that the cockroach might have flew away because it's wings can't get wet unlike every other pest with wings. Luckily I found it, I can't believe I was excited when I found out that the cockroach was still there but only to discover the cockroach wasn't moving, I kicked the bow of water a couple of times just to see if the cockroach would react but it didn't.
Unbelievable!!! it seems the cockroach has drowned, is that even possible? I have never seen a cockroach drown before? how could something float still drown? I'm not a science person but I feel like that shouldn't happen or am I wrong?
I felt bad for the cockroach, I mean I wanted to squash it with my feet but I wouldn't want it to drown, it sounds cruel to me. Feeling bad for the cockroach, I poured the water away, as soon as the cockroach landed on the ground the cockroach flew away.
The expression on my face was on indescribable, all I could say was, what???????the cockroach did what?
How could this happen, it felt like I was fooled, how could a cockroach possibly know how to play dead? it made me feel bad for no reason. It flew so fast that I couldn't catch up with it, it was as if the cockroach knew my plan all along and it beat me to it. I'm still pained up till this moment, I couldn't take my revenge on the cockroach.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the thought of being outsmarted by an insect kept bugging me. Unbelievable!!!!!
