Elena! Elena!! (Luna screamed)
That was the most terrifying and longest fifteen seconds of Elena's life. A truck was coming in high speed towards her flashing light directly on her face. She turned numb,toxic immobility induced by adrenaline, couldn't move to save herself, started recollecting memories.
She thought of Rafael, will she ever get a chance to explain herself? Is this how it will end without him hearing her side of the story? She wanted that chance more than anything.
Rafael, Elena's fiancee was turning twenty nine years tomorrow. After the surprise three-day trip to Dubai Rafael pulled for Elena five months ago on her birthday, she only wanted to surprise him, if possible out do him.
She had a couple ideas, Rafael always talked about his dream holiday in a yacht.
She rented a Private yacht for the weekend, planned a scenic cruise with breathtaking views, snorkeling, arranged a gourmet meal and booked a spa session for him.
Elena's ex boyfriend Richie shared the same birthday as Rafael. They had lost contact for two years but somehow three days ago Richie found her contact and text her again. They exchanged pleasantries lightly and ended the conversation.
On getting to book the spa session for her man, she walked into the spa as she wanted to do it in person and not online to avoid mix ups on her man’s day.
After she was done booking, on her way out she bumped right into Richie.

Richie was the owner of the spa!
How could it not have crossed her mind from the spa’s name ‘Richie’s Spa”
During their time together, owning a spa was one of Richie's many dreams. And there she was standing right in it.
The sight of Richie, live in the moment brought back memories but she shove them off as she now has Rafael her prince charming.
Elena and Richie snapped out of their brief solo reminisce and exchanged pleasantries. He invited her in but she declined. After much persuasion, she walked in with him. He gave her a tour round the spa invited her to his office and stole a kiss. Elena got angry and flared as there was nothing that prepared her for the kiss. They weren't discussing anything intimate and he just kissed her suddenly.
Elena stormed out of the spa angry, called her friend Luna to come pick her up.
Minutes later Luna arrives in her car and drove Elena to an accessory shop to get a wrist watch for Rafael. Alighting before the shop, Elena's phone beeped. Ten notifications from Rafael! She open and saw spams of moments with her and Richie at the spa. The angles the pictures were taken was terrifying as they didn't depict what exactly happened.
Richie was behind this!
She showed to Luna and explained what really happened. Luna tried calming her but she wasn't calm as she couldn't wrap her head around what was going on and why Richie would do this to her a month to her wedding after they had lost communication for two years.
Luna crossed over to the opposite side of the road to get some fruits.
Elena tried to reach Rafael and Explained what happened but he had blocked her.
How could this be happening to her!
Her wedding is in a month!
She can't lose Rafael. They have built so much together and she won't hurt him intentionally. She loved him and wanted to do life with him till old age. She can't bear loosing him. How will she explain this to him.

She needed this chance so bad.
Even with how loud the trucks horn sounded, Elena was lost in thought, she couldn't hear it. Adrenaline rushed her system and she couldn't feel a thing. She couldn't run from the spot to save her self.
Her life flashed right before her eyes .
The truck driver very close to Elena in high speed suddenly diverted almost immediately and didn't hit her. Her life was saved. She still stood at the same spot in shock. Luna ran to her immediately and helped her regain consciousness.
She got home to Rafael, explained everything that happened. Though upset, love always has its way.
He believed, trusted her and moved on ignoring threats from the outsider. The next day being Rafael's birthday, Elena sure outdid him. They spent their weekend in the yacht cruise
