Hace algunas semanas mi esposo me fabricó esta base para tejer pulseras para que pudiera dar mis clases y también para la creación de las pulseras para nuestra marca.
Es una base hecha con una vieja gaveta de madera. Mi idea era comprar otra cosa que sirviera de base, pero a él se le ocurrió hacerlo con material reciclado y la verdad quedó bastante bien. Solo que me hace falta comprar una lija para darle unos últimos detalles.
En lo que eso pasaba (ya que no suelo salir mucho de casa) decidí personalizarla para ver si comenzaba a darle uso y probar a ver que tan funcional era.

A few weeks ago my husband made me this bracelet weaving base so I could teach my classes and also for the creation of bracelets for our brand.
It is a base made from an old wooden drawer. My idea was to buy something else to use as a base, but he came up with the idea of making it out of recycled material and it turned out really well. I just need to buy some sandpaper to give it some final details.
While that was happening (since I don't leave the house much) I decided to customize it to see if I could start using it and try to see how functional it was.
No tenía un diseño definido o alguna referencia. Se me ocurrió hacer una especie de mandala pero todo se terminó transformando en un diseño bastante psicodélico.
Decidí ir haciendo capas de colores diferentes alrededor de la flor que hice inicialmente y continuar con las líneas a lo largo de la base. La idea no era que fueran rectas, más bien que se fueran amoldando a la forma de la base.
I didn't have a defined design or any reference. It occurred to me to make a kind of mandala but it all ended up turning into a rather psychedelic design.
I decided to make layers of different colors around the flower I initially made and continue with the lines along the base. The idea was not to make them straight, but rather to mold them to the shape of the base.
En un punto decidí detenerme con las líneas y agregar detalles a la flor. Esto me permitió tener una mejor visión de lo que pintaría en el resto de la base. Todo fue fluyendo tras cada pincelada porque como les dije, no había planeado nada.
At one point I decided to stop with the lines and add details to the flower. This allowed me to have a better vision of what I would paint on the rest of the base. Everything was flowing after each brushstroke because as I said, I had not planned anything.
Continúe con el diseño hasta cubrir toda la superficie. En los laterales la pinté con negro.
A la flor le coloqué más detalles y listo. Aún me falta colocarle unos clavos, lijar la parte fea y ya.

Continue with the design until the entire surface is covered. On the sides I painted it with black.
I added more details to the flower and that was it. I still need to put some nails, sand the ugly part and that's it.
