Greetings hivians. Good evening and welcome to my blog. First time posting here.This week on #iucontest we've been asked to share on what we do for a living.
As a teacher, I work in the teaching industry, if there's an industry like that.....smiles. Where my primary focus is on schooling my class kids. Not only the curriculum but other things to help their daily living. My day-to-day tasks include helping them pray, teaching them, playing and having fun, etc. I'm responsible for teaching the senior secondary school Geography. One of the best parts of my job is speaking to the students, which allows me to communicate with them.
The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing the students learn and grow, which allows me to build relationships and the communication flows well. I've had the opportunity to inspire creativity and receive a lot of positive feedbacks from parents teachers and even fellow students, which motivates me to continue delivering high-quality work. My profession aligns with my values and passions because I love to learn and does help me share my passion for learning with others. And I also love making a difference and my profession has made me impact lives of student and their futures.
Like any profession, mine comes with its challenges. One of the biggest obstacles I face is being able to maintain a productive learning environment. There are other obstacles faced such as being able to manage the students emotions, behaviors, also having to deal with inadequate materials to teach the students and also trying to adapt new technologies and methods of teaching.
All of these requires me to find a way through to escape this challenges or manage them. I've developed skills, attended seminars just to help manage these challenges and ensure they don't hinder my progress.
Throughout my journey, I've learned a lot of lessons such as patience is key, classroom management is very crucial and then one must continue to learn and never stop learning. I love and I'm proud to be a teacher. My profession has shaped me personally and professionally.
Apart from teaching, I have a side hustle. I have a company called UWAD.
