I don't really need mushrooms to have amazing colours to shoot them. Any will do. Even the most dull or pale. I find them all interesting and worth photographing. It is more about the shapes and textures for me.
The colour is a bonus, and it is pretty amazing how many different shades I could find in just one forest.
I remember exactly where I found these bronzy ones. And it was just that one spot, and only a few of them were growing. Such lovely, flipped, suede hats! Is it edible? No clue :)
Then we have this lovely, silvery grey one in more moist and leafy part of the woods. Some type of Russula I guess, but do not quote me on this one. I often see them bitten, often there is not much left from the hat, so I guess they are tasty. To some creatures at least.
A less common colour among mushrooms. Even the skinny leg is in a shade of pink.
Getting out of the woods in an open space, I also found this one. One of the largest types and often found on the sides of the roads among grasses.

Last but not least... somewhere along the way I spotted these bright little ones. The forest was filled with all kinds of tiny mushrooms, but most were white or grey. These were very easy to spot.
