Possum Spotting at Dinner: A Night to Remeber

in #hive-1503299 days ago

Sometimes, it’s the little things that totally catch ya off guard and make a night unforgettable. There we were, tucking into dinner, when I spot something out the window. At first, I thought it was just a branch moving in the breeze. But nope—it was a possum! Not just one either—turns out it was a whole family having a bit of a wander. The photos don’t really do it justice, what an experience it was!

No normally i post these to balck and white but i dont thinkit does justice to the photo community so today its jsut a story of dinner and possums

The First Glimse

The first photo’s a bit dodgy, I’ll admit. All you can see is some branches tangled up, with a hint of movement in the dark. But if ya squint a bit, there’s a possum perched right there, looking like it’s sizing us up. Black and white kinda makes it look all spooky, but in the moment, I was just stoked to see one so close.

The Family’s Out and About

After a closer look, I realised it wasn’t just one little furball. There were more! A proper possum family having a night out in the trees. In the second photo, if ya look close enough, you’ll spot at least two of ‘em, nestled among the branches like it’s a family dinner up there. They were so chilled, climbing around like pros, completely ignoring the fact we were all glued to the window. Gotta say, it made me feel like I was in the middle of a David Attenborough doco.

One of ‘em got bold and climbed even higher, right up near the roof. You can see it in the third pic, clinging to the tree like it owns the joint (which, let’s be real, it probably does). The black and white makes the branches and bark stand out, giving it a bit of a dramatic feel, but the moment was just pure Aussie bush vibes.
