Hello, beautiful ladies of Hive! I'm excited to join this week's contest, which focuses on how we relieve stress. Stress is something we should avoid because it can seriously impact our health.

I work at a medical center here in Anambra, and some days can be really stressful. Whether it's dealing with clients, bosses, or even kids, stress can come from many sources. But as women, we're expected to handle it all with care and patience to avoid burning out.
When I start feeling stressed, it usually comes with slight headaches, which is my signal to give my body the rest it needs. My number one stress reliever is sleep and rest. These two remedies always help me recover.

I’ve also learned to prioritize food. Certain foods can actually increase stress. For example, when I eat a lot of junk food. I notice that I get stressed more easily or feel its effects intensely after each day at work.
Eating a balanced diet is crucial, especially for women. Adding fruits to my meals has given me the energy to resist stress and avoid breaking down. I’ve also realized that when I don’t eat balanced meals, stress can hit me harder, sometimes even making me sick for days.
This will end up in staying off work for some days which isn’t a normal for my kind of place of work. If I’m not there, I don’t have assistance or someone to handle the job and clients keep coming in every day. All colleagues have their duty to attend to and simultaneously everyone plays a role. Think of receiving client (my Job), solving their problem (another person’s job) and so on.
I needed to plan on managing the stress. Before I use to have a side business I do like selling food stuffs from my farm proceed to get extra income. But I had to stop when I see it’s really pulling me down. After work, I market my food items to my colleagues and people. But when I later realized the stress attached with the income, I needed to assign someone who helps me do that whilst I pay him some amount. To be frank he wasn’t honest and I stopped it.
This is how I manage stress by prioritizing sleep, rest, and eating balanced meals. Every job comes with stress, but the key is to strengthen your body to resist the effects of it.
Thank you for reading my blog. Have a lovely week and a happy new month!
