I have come around many books and I can tell each book has its uniqueness. From fiction to creative nonfiction, every book has its theme and a message they are trying to pass.
I have also heard a lot of people say "Long distance relationship is a scam" or "It can never work"
All these are based on individual perspectives, but the truth is that anything can work if built on the right foundation. If you are in a long-distance relationship and you have been hearing a lot of bad experiences from people around, then you need to read or hear the right thing to help you nurture a good mind towards your relationship.
I present to you a beautiful book for couples in a long-distance relationship "My Teddy Bear." This is a book written by Nathanael Disu and Esther Odemwingie. Now they are both married couples, and the book is written based on their relationship. These two people started their relationship living far apart from each other and it was stated in the book.
The book is just 50 pages and each page's characters or words aren't too much for a quick read. The chapters are not too much and they all carry so much importance as they teach people on how to manage a long-distance relationship using their life story as an example. I remember sharing this book with a friend of mine here at @princessbusayo
How did this Book impact me
I fell in love with his beautiful lady who captured my heart and changed my world, it was like destiny brought her to me because we met in a city I would be traveling away from in 2 weeks' time. After spending little time with her, I traveled and we only communicated by phone.
It was difficult sometimes because she was someone I had only met for 2 weeks, and I couldn't stop thinking of her after that time. When things became difficult, a friend shared this book with me, and I also gave it to her so we could both read the book together even if we were thousands of kilometers apart. We read this book, and our relationship improved till we finally got together again after a year and some months.
After I was done reading this book, I concluded that the book isn't only for people in long-distance relationships, it is for everyone in a relationship. I was thinking of sharing a picture of my girl and I but instead, I will leave you with something better, the Prologue of the book
