Why doesn't HIVE have a faucet? + Survey

in #hive-12512518 days ago

As in the title. This is just a question. Since I'm new here, it makes me wonder. Maybe there is one, but I don't know about it.

What is a faucet? It is an application where we get small rewards for performing simple tasks, watching ads, completing surveys, clicking on links...

It seems like a good and proven solution. Although adding ads may be irritating for users. On the other hand, the lack of ads is always a plus for a service, and getting rid of this advantage may not be worth it. Besides, it doesn't seem to me that this idea has not been considered over the years. Or at least cooperation with existing faucets, STEEM used to be on FinalAutoClaim. I even have a few Payments proofs, totaling 1.288 STEEM:
0.396 STEEM + 0.345 STEEM + 0.282 STEEM + 0.265 STEEM

But I also have a few new ones for 0.00011184 BTC from FaucetCrypto:
0.00002468 BTC + 0.00002604 BTC + 0.00002767 BTC + 0.00003345 BTC

But a faucet under a separate domain seems like a good idea. Those who want to use it, do; those who don't, don't - simple. And it has several advantages, the ones that come to mind quickly:
➕ additional source to power the community, the coin's price ultimately depends on supply and demand. If there is an opportunity to gain an additional service, such as advertising, for a given coin, it should increase its value.
➕ increased visibility, for someone to be interested in a coin, they must know it exists. When it is visible on some service, someone might find out about it, search for more information. At least that's what I do. If someone doesn't know about it, it's hard for them to buy it or invest in it. Therefore, I think it's worth trying to place it wherever possible, and one of those places is faucet services. ➕ it would be nice for new people who have to start their adventure from 0.000 HIVE. This is, in my opinion, a barrier that discourages many people. They don't want to invest because it seems too complicated; not everyone is technical, not everyone is interested in cryptocurrencies, and they just want to write and get something out of it. Other services - I'm thinking of commercial ones like FB and IG. They prey on creators without giving them anything in return. Besides, not everyone wants to create something; at first, they just want to observe, give a 💙 and that's it. When they realize that to make it work, they need coins, they lose their enthusiasm.

I’m adding a survey to find out what your opinions are, you can cast two votes if anyone has trouble making a clear decision.

I also invite you to comment, because I feel that I have not exhausted the topic, since the faucet does not exist, maybe this idea has already been tested, and I don't know about it, and there are reasons why this idea didn't work out.

That's a very good idea my friend

Hive has a few faucet providers. Not all of them are guaranteed to give you something everytime you interact with it. Depends on how they set it up. @heartflowers.app is one I like. You give a 100% vote on their daily blog. In return they randomly pick a few people to give a portion of what they earned that day. @tokenfaucet is another good one that runs monthly. https://discord.gg/XZGPGpz This is the discord link to The Terminal server. https://discord.gg/epTSGhkv This is the discord link to the Hive Pizza server. These 2 servers are a real good place to get started. You might even be able to get a fairly large delegation for a month from them to get you started. They also have air drops. I delegate to a fair amount of projects that give a portion of their profits for delegating to them. Take a look at my wallet to if their is any you like. But I will give a warning. Don't delegate out to much. The whales won't vote on you if you delegate out to much. Voting practices matter here, so keep that in mind when delegating out your voting power.
