Gibitngil Island is our go-to island. As I shared in the previous post, it is where my friend R, works. As long as R works here, this island is one of the travels we always visit. There are five in a group, and only three already visited the place and there are still two remaining that we are waiting to come to the island too.

Today, I want to share the first experience we had when we visited the island. It was December 2018.

The first time I visited the place I was not yet married to my husband. My companion during travel was R, R’s boyfriend now husband, my boyfriend now husband, and my sister.

We used a motorcycle for our travel. To reach the place we need to travel first to Kawit, Medellin where the pump boat is located as a means of transport system to reach the island. Our travel started late in the morning, and we decided to have lunch in downtown Medellin. We ate at one of the eateries in the town.

After having our lunch, we directly travel to Kawit, Medellin. Since R already knows the pros and cons of traveling, so we follow her instructions. She knew how to negotiate the pump boat driver and the exact drop point she wanted. When she was done negotiating, we immediately rode in on one of the pump boats, which would transport us to the island.

The drop point she chose was the nearest access to her workstation. She wanted me to experience her ordinary activities when she reported to her work. I was shocked when I first arrived in the area, it’s unavoidable that your long pants will make you wet when landed on the island. There is no bridge or port as the dropping point. It is advisable to bring extra clothes when you travel to the place.

I was surprised by the long walks needed from the dropping point to her workstation. It’s so far in my vocabulary. I would have 1 month's complaint of service if I were working on the island since I’m not a fan of long walks.

She just laughed at me when I started walking to her workstation because she knows I easily get tired. When we arrived at her workstation, she gave me a short tour. The area is nature-friendly because of the trees around it.

After having a short rest, we went to Fantastic Island, I already shared what Fantastic Island is. Here in the post is the beauty of the Fantastic Island.

We did not stay long or swim in the clear water since our time was limited. We need to go home because our plan is just to visit the place and familiarize it. We did not go back to the first dropping point because R already negotiated a driver of the pump boat to transport us from the Fantastic Island to the mainland. It was a good decision because my feet would surrender if we had another long walk. After all, it was my first visit.

After my first visit, I already visited the island twice. As I said, it was our go-to island.

Thank you for reaching this far. If you want to inspire, learn, and witness beautiful scenery, experiences, and places, do not forget to follow, upvote, and reblog my post to support and motivate me to write more. Thank you.

Oh, thank you for appreciating it.😊 The place is very nice to visit if you want to do island hopping.😊

It did experience great damage during the super typhoon but the government did its best to restore it. The houses are the resting areas or cottages for the visitors to come.😊

That is a very nice place, I am not surprised you have visited it a few times more after your first visit. Those houses are built on the rocks in the water?

Thank you for appreciating. 😊😊 Yes, it is used as their resting area or cottage for the tourist.😊

This place is beautiful, the sea, the mountains and the sky make it very special, no wonder you remember it with so much affection and impression. Thank you so much for sharing this story on #tbt Thursdays 🙏
