I quickly had the barrel loaded and was soon blasting back north for the farm. I got home right at 6am but it was a few ours before I went and emptied the grain out into the sheep pen.

Apparently the pic didn't take of the grain in the sheep pen but they were all quite happy to have the delicious munchables. I left the trailer hooked up to the truck for a bit later.

Got the paths around the house and the deck swept in preparation for the rains.

Next I figured out that I could back the trailer down between the tree and the chokecherry and got it close to the pile to load.

All the carpet that got removed from the house as I installed the laminate flooring had been piled behind the studio. I had kicked it all out hen I stacked the tires so really wanted it gone before the snows hit.

Also was some shitty pallets that were by the fencing that needed to go.

I backed the trailer up to the dump pile and tossed the load on top and beside it. The animals can have at it all they want out here.

With the garbage unloaded I moved the truck and trailer over to the pile of wood where I threw all the rounds into the bedliner.

There are more rounds up on the hill and in amongst the brush that I will have to rescue at some point but the bulk fit nicely.

It took me a bit to figure out where I could stack the wood to cure. I finally chose the trees by the studio and grabbed a piece of the old wood from the studio to lay down to stack upon.

The rounds all fit perfectly and created a really nice wall-o-wood. I plan to do the same thing between the other trees nearby which will end up with an alcove once done.

The rain was on the doppler all day but not nearby yet so I took the time to install the feed sacks to the underside of the wood cover. I cut the end off then slit each bag to open it up to a single sheet.

Then I stapled them to the frame, over lapping so the water will sheet to the back.

The end by the house was the more important given the cardboard storage is there. The reason I have to do this is that the cover is not doubled up on the ends but is in the middle.

So then on the other end I had to add t cover the single ply area.

After a bit of a rest I drove the truck back out to the hill and began to load up the branches. I threw them down the hill then loaded them onto the trailer.

R came out to give me a hand and it wasn't too long before we had a big ass pile on the trailer.

In the sheep pen I had to pull down a section of fence to give us room to unload the branches as the base of the hill.

We scattered them to make them spread out to browse, so they aren't all fighting over a single pile. The sheep spent the rest of the afternoon nosing around and munching on the greenery.

The rains finally began as it got near dark. We didn't et much overnight but the next days will be really wet and raining with the snow levels up at 3k+.

Got out to soak but again my dumb skin and tired from the early morning had me out sooner than later.

Shitty morning today, I woke at 1:30 am to my jaw pain back so it wasn't until after 2:30am the muscle relaxer kicked in enough I could get a couple hours sleep. PDC is on and Man Utd are playing now, looks to be minimal rain today so I may yet get some more work done around the farm before it really sets in. Might haul the saw back up the hill to drop more trees... if my body feels up to it.
