The cucumber required trimming and tying as they had gotten lanky and were falling over.

All the side branches get trimmed off to keep them single stemmed and with better production.

My body is still sore from all the digging so I was taking it a bit slower and worked on the shed wall to remove the outer boards then the studs.

I got the Home Depot order submitted while I watched Barney get destroyed at the German Championships.

I pulled the power to the gear shed since I have to rerun it so it is not across the yard on top of the ground. Now it will run down the fence to the house where I will pull the power. I just have LED lights in the shed so I don't need a big circuit.

I then looked across the yard and noticed the yard lights were super taught in one section by the pine tree. I then noticed that the lilacs were all leaning on the wire and causing the problem. The lilacs are really old, tall, and not in the best of shape. They line the fence behind the wood pile and have progressively gotten worse over the years.

As is almost always the case, once I got into the task it became bigger than I had thought it was. I used my hand saw to cut away oodles of dead, dying, or just in the way lilacs and threw them over the fence into the yard.

I got a really nice section cleaned up and have a full walkway now where it once was a jungle. I have SO MUCH more work to do from the fence down to the creek which is years of work still to do.

My order was ready so I took the trailer and a bunch of ratchet straps to town and got loaded up with the 45 bags of softener salt. I went in expecting to have a long process of getting my order but with a good attitude and being prepared to wait I got helped right away. The 24s were missing so I drove over to the load out area and they were brought out to me.

Back on the farm I had the trailer backed up to the front of Studio A so the boys could help me off load most of the bags.

This works perfect as a nice dry place to store the extras. The boys carried a bag at a time, even R who weighs just 54 pounds still hauled bags in.

That left 16 bags on the trailer which I backed up into the inner yard and parked until it cooled off a bit in the evening.

Having pulled the studs on the wall there were still big nails sticking out of the header. I grabbed my side angle cutters and clipped them all off. Some super fat nails from the 1940s were super hard to cut.

@stryeyz got home from work and soon we had all the bags of salt into the basement. I only want some downstairs in case something in the water system pops we won't lose 1800lbs of salt, just a couple hundred.

With all the lilac laying in the yard I had plenty for the fire.

With the salt off the trailer I was able to get it setup for the big grain run I have done this morning.

Grilled burgers for dinner and had our potatoes, cucumbers, and tomatoes with.

I just can't seem too get the 3rd dart in the triple... getting better as this came after 4 120+s.

Footless Fred the skeleton became headless as well and got chalk outlined. I told J it's always done in white chalk but he couldn't find the white chalk pen.

Soaking was nice on my aching body.

I have been to town for grain this morning, a lot of grain, and will go out and empty it out in a while. I have to spread more of it out over the garlic garden then the rest will go to the sheep pen. They need a bale rolled in, waters filled, I have harvests to get to, PDC is on, maybe work on the shed, and who knows what else I will end up doing.
