If you are in this part of the country, you will likely agree with me that 2024 has been a year marked by struggle, hardship, and a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Despite the heavy weight of adversity, some people have persevered, while others have faced what feels like hell all packed in a bag. We have seen what we call shege Promax to the point that the majority lost their souls to the voice of I cannot continue What shall we do?
Some years ago, about five years ago, I acquired a piece of land that I never particularly liked, leading me to neglect it for quite some time. Why? The area was still bushy with fewer houses around coupled with the fact that it is far. To my surprise and dismay, I learned that the land had been sold to another person without our knowledge. At the time, I didn't realize how much the area had developed, on getting there I saw how developed the area has become in a surprise look🤥. People were beginning to build beautiful homes all around. The man who purchased my land approached me with a monetary offer simply to forget about the property, but I refused. He saw what I didn't see but I refused to let go.
What came next was completely unexpected. Fueled by a determination to build a home I had no budget for in this economic hardship? I began laying the foundation for a three-bedroom apartment on that very land. It felt incredible to finally take such a bold step after a very long time, especially since I never would have had the courage to do so if my land had not been sold. This achievement stands out as my greatest accomplishment of 2024 thus far, and I am grateful for the unexpected turn of events that led me here. Amidst all the hustle and bustle in 2024, I have been able to do something on my land.

Additionally, the long-awaited family journey we've been planning for ages has finally come to reality. Initially, we were daunted by the lack of funds, as the journey required a significant financial commitment. However, we placed our faith in God, deciding to simply start somewhere and trust God that He would guide us. Despite our worrying, the outcome has been positive, and we are now celebrating together as a family because everything has been approved.
Reflecting on what I have accomplished this year amidst all the hardship, I am in awe. I couldn’t have imagined that so much good would come from a year filled with challenges called the T-pain regime because it has been hell to eat, use electricity, pay bills, and even transportation on the high side. Hmmm, what a year!
