Good morning guys,
Lately, I’ve become really intrigued by astrology and space exploration, which has led me to follow a lot of space related Instagram accounts. Recently, some of those pages mentioned the movie Interstellar, and it reminded me of how incredible that film is. In my opinion, Interstellar is the greatest space movie of all time.
The movie is set during a time when Earth is on the verge of destruction, forcing a father to leave his two children; a son and a daughter to embark on a mission to find a habitable planet for humanity. They already have leads on two potential planets, but things take a turn when they become trapped on one where time moves differently. A single second on that planet equals a full day on Earth. By the time they return to their spaceship, 51 years have passed on Earth. The father is devastated, realizing that his children are now much older than him and likely believe he abandoned them. However, he manages to send a critical code to his daughter, who has followed in his footsteps and become a scientist. This code helps create an alternative planet where humans can survive. When he finally reunites with his daughter, she is an elderly woman on her deathbed, while he has barely aged since leaving in his thirties.
I've decided to draw the scene where he reunites with his aged daughter on her deathbed. In this moment, he's looking at her with deep, mixed emotions. His eyes are filled with both happiness and sorrow happy that they survived and that he got to see her one last time, but sad because he missed her entire life. She was just 10 years old when he left, and now she's around 90.
