Hello everyone,
I’m excited to share one of my recent oil paintings, titled Butterflies in My Eye. There wasn’t a profound reason behind creating this piece, I’ve simply always been captivated by eyes. My fascination began back when I was sketching with pencils, drawn to the intricate details an eye holds. This painting was a way for me to explore that interest further. Since transitioning to oil paints, I’ve challenged myself to capture more detailed subjects. Working on this piece has revealed new levels of detail I didn’t know I was capable of, and it’s been a great step forward in refining my skills.
Below is a small poem composed for this beautiful painting.
Butterflies in my eyes, they flutter and soar,
Whispers of color I’ve never seen before.
Wings of wonder, soft as a sigh,
They dance in my gaze, then fade to the sky.
Dreams take flight where the heart cannot hide,
In the world of my eyes, where butterflies reside.”
I do hope you love and connect with this piece. I hope for the day it will find a new owner.
