Location:
Barangay Pagawan is the 10th Barangay of the Municipality of Manticao, Misamis Oriental found here in Mindanao, Philippines. From Barangay Poblacion, it takes a few hours of travel depends on how traffic or crowded the road is. This Barangay contains lots of mountains and plain areas and using a transport passenger vehicle just like motorcycle, we can reach this place. From Barangay Poblacion, the travel fair cost 25 Pesos per Passenger.
The first photo shows about the Catholic Church built in the place. This unique Catholic chapel built many years already and it is made of some light materials just like Lumbers, plain sheets, concrete walls painted with different kinds of colors to make it more attractive. It built at the middle of this tall and big acacia trees and the place is very cool and relaxing.
This is one of the ancestral and old house located at the Barangay. This old house is built with light materials just like lumbers and it built many years ago. There are lots of big trees and wild plants grows in the place and it keeps the areas attractive. This house was totally abandoned by the owner and the lawns are already covered with grass and other kinds of wild plants.
This is the main steel bridge and it connects the other Zone of Barangay Pagawan. This steel bridge is very important specially when transporting some products even if there is a flood happens. This concrete road connects in the steel bridge and leads to the other side of the place called, Sitio Sambuyaan. This steel bridge was already built 5 years already and it is durable made so that it wont be damage by floods. Trucks, Cars, motorcycles are always passing in this steel bridge carrying more products and sell to the Market place.
This concrete road leads to Sitio Sambuyaan, part of Barangay Pagawan. The road is built of concrete so that it will become very easy to travel here. This road is located at the mountain slope were some of commercial structures like Poultries and stores built. Agricultural plants like coconut trees and native hard wood trees are also grows near at the road. Banana plants can also be seen here and most of the residents lives in the place are farmers and planted more valuable plants like coconuts and bananas.
This big and tall trees are properly preserved by the Local Government. This areas are filled with many big trees and wild plants and it grows many years already. Some of the Native trees can be found here are Molave, Acacia and Mahogany trees. Some of it are good for construction purposes just like house walls, floors. It also gives a shady and cool places because of its wide and big branches. Animals like birds perching on its tree branches building nests.
As we continued to take travel at the Barangay, we will went to Zone 3-A were some of the unique houses built. This is also part as a Sitio and they also plant more valuable crops and plants just like Banana and coconuts. Those houses are made of light materials just like lumbers, plywoods, bamboos and plainsheets. Those houses are built near at the mountain and they also built more landscapes to make the place more attractive. Visiting Barangay Pagawan, Manticao Misamis Oriental is very fun and enjoyable. This Barangay continues its progressive situations that helps in the Economy in the place.
