Manticao river is located at the heart or middle of Municipality of Manticao, this river connects and surpasses lots of place here in the Municipality. The water flows all the way down from the Mountainous areas going to the sea and it flows many Kilometers away. From Barangay Poblacion, it needs to travel a few kilometers away before it reach the place. This river is quite far from Provincial road that is why it needs to walk or ride any passenger vehicles before we reached the place.
Each side of the cliff near at the river contains lots of big trees and wild plants. Most of the big and tall trees can be seen here are Acasia and Molave trees. It gives a shady and cool areas of the place were most of the people take a minute rest under this big and majestic tree. It was already preserved for a long time, because it helps to prevent the soil from being eroded specially during the flood. Lots of wild animals living at the place just like Birds, wild cats, lizards, Tiny insects like spiders and dangerous animals like snakes.
Under those big trees is the simple fences made of bamboos and round lumbers. The residents decided to build this fence so that their farm raising animals wont get through all the way down to the River. The structures are built in very unique and this is one of the road trail to all residents who wants to went at the Supermarket carrying their crops they want to sell. Every Morning, this unique fence was keep opened and it will closed by evening. The tied it up and attached to the round lumber using a durable vines used for tying those bamboos.
Now we will go to the fascinating and relaxing views at the river. Because of the intense heat happens here in the Province, the water level keeps decreasing and lots of big stones are already showed up in the surface. In terms of agricultural aspects, there are some Gardens located near at the river. The soil near at this place is very fertile and it came from mountainous places swept and washed away during floods. The example of the garden can be seen here is this wide corn farm near at the cliff. This area is perfect for farm activities because it is an open field and aside of that, it is near at the water easy to fetch lots of water for the plants.
This big chunk of rocks was swept and washed away from the mountain all the way down here. During a big flood, this big rocks was stocked in here, I truly amazed of the scenery about this big stones washed away from from far away places and went in here. This big stones was stocked for many Months already here at the bodies of water and some of it are already inhabited with fresh water animals like Shells, Fish, crabs, and shrimps.
If we talked about cleanliness and clearness of water, this river also contains of that kind. In fact because of the clearness of the water, the stones can be seen underwater including the fish, crabs and shrimps. Lots of people likes to went here to take a bathed and others do their laundry activities here at the river. There are lots of shallow water and children loves to take a bathed here.
Near at the river is the Sitio and there are 10 houses built in here, their primary source of income are planting different kinds of valuable plants just like coconut and banana plants. Visiting this kind of place is very fun and enjoyable, aside of that we can really experienced the freshness and peaceful of the place.
