Lamesahan beach is located at the border point of Barangay Punta Silum and Barangay Calangahan in Lugait, Misamis Oriental. From Barangay Poblacion, it needs to travel a few minutes depends on how traffic the main road is and can ride any different kinds of Passenger vehicles like tricyles, Passenger bus, Motorcycles. From the Main or National road, it needs to walk a few meters away down to the cliff until it reach the place.
The cliff near at the beach contains lots of big trees just like Germilina, Talisay and Molave trees. All of this kind helps and gives the place a shady areas were people can do relaxing for a while or a day while enjoying watching those beautiful place at the beach. There few coconut trees grows on the top of the cliff and few of this already produce lots of coconut fruits. It leans towards the sea because of the strong winds happens here. Lots of wild animals like birds, snakes and other kinds of tiny insects lives here. This trees already lives many years already and people don't want to cut this trees down.
Big rocks was also falled down from the cliff and ended in here many years ago already. Some of it are been washed out and submerged to the sea water every high tide were crabs, fish and shrimps hid. This stone is one of the corals that been washed out by big waves. There are lots of big and small stones can be seen here. Even the beach is not really sandy areas, but still it is perfect to visit because of it wonderful sceneries.
Rock pools also find here every low tide were lots of fish was been trapped. People are having a lot of fun time doing fishing and searching for any sea shells, fish and crabs. Aside of that, children loves to swim on those right depth of rock pools and they make a man-made like pool just like in some beaches. Under those or at the middle of rock pools are contains lots of sands that children loves to swim.
If we talked about fishing activities, this area is also a fishing place to all fishermen who lives near at the beach. They owned different kinds of small boats used for fishing and they set sail every afternoon and they will came back every morning. This boats was newly arrived from the sea expected to bring lots of fish.
This is what we called lamesahan because of its shape of rocks just like a table, every high tide lots of people swim here and used as diving place. This was once a bay walk and it was already abandoned and submerged by sea water. Lots of crustaceans and any kinds of sea shells sticking and hid under this big rocks and it is a perfecg place to catch fish using fishing lures. Lamesahan beach is truly a paradisiacal place because of the great views, a perfecg place and worthy to visit any time.
