You wonder what the Main road of Barangay Punta Silum and Barangay Calangahan looks like. I really like to visit and travel this place and as my Elders told me about this areas, it was a part of a Great History because of War between Guirella Fighters and Japanese troops here in this place. The time when I heard about the story, I was delighted to go back and explore the Entire areas but its not only a simple travel but brings the informations regarding of the exact place about Second World War. It will be very interesting to know and seen the place in actual and thatbwas exactly what I did today.

I traveled not quite a long way from Barangay Poblacion Manticao and it takes only a few Minutes before reaching the place. It is not very hard to locates because it is only at the Main road. This place is contains with few houses and fabrication sites, aside of that there are three towers built in this areas. The travel fair if we came from Manticao only cost up to 20 Pesos only per passenger so it will cost 40 Pesos back and Forth.

This place is the Boundary point Between the Two Municipalities; Manticao and Lugait and this two towns is part of the Province in Misamis Oriental. The Boundaries can be very easy to indicates because of the two big concrete blocks put in the Road side. One of the concrete block is engraved with a welcome sign and the name of the Next Municipality. Back in the past, were Second world war happens, this areas was once a rocky and small road and only A cart pulled with a Carabao can pass in here. A thick forest, were lots of wild grass grows in here that time as my Grandfather told me about the Place.

Each side of the road is the big stone cliffs and that is the place were Those rebel fighters made a camp, so that they can easily sees the troops walks in a rocky and muddy road that time here in this areas. But for many years and decades has past, the place was completely developed into wide and concrete road, there are already 5 lanes and lots of Cable wires and electric post installed on each side of the road supporting the electric wires that connects to houses and also in those cellsite towers.

Billboards are also installed at the top of the cliff so everyone can see very clearly while driving vehicles. Towers are also built at the top of the cliff so it can relay a strong and stabled signal to the entire community.

Way back 2023 When this areas was excavated and developed into a Barangay Road. The old Barangay road was already condemned and permanently blocked. This rocky and muddy road will straight at the back side of the stone cliff were it camped by those Soldiers that time. It is near at the coastal areas and it contains a great overviews including the wide sea and the roads. Lots of big trees and wild plants grows in here and some of it grows in the stone cliff.

Even the place contains lots of rocks, still it was also developed into a farm land were lots of coconuts planted here. Aside of that, tall trees like Molave and Balete tree also grows here and it can make the place cool and relaxing. This is also a perfect spot for camping, well back in the past this place was truly a camping site.

From the abandoned camping site, this wonderful sceneries can make us really more enjoyable by visiting here. Deep blue sea water and tons of stones locates in here in fact this is a perfect fishing spots to all residents. They always went here every low tide searching for sea shells, crabs and trapped fish in the rock pools. Until next post my hive traveler friends, thank you for stopping by.
