Same as usual, I’m all alone in the flat. Hubby leaves early at work because they have visitors today. Started my chores, a routine that I can do perfectly except one thing, the cooking! I admit that I’m not a good cook, it’s not my passion, but trying hard to learn since I became a plain housewife. I can do simple cooking like frying eggs and hotdogs, but main dish? Hhmm.. I think I had to open and look for my notes to get it right or I will search it in social media.
I asked my hubby what he wants me to cook for our dinner before he leaves at work, he said, anything. Omg! That answer really bothers me a lot, while doing the household chores. My mind was swirling of what food to prepare for dinner in fact it was still morning. I checked the fridge, I saw a ground pork. The veggies available was potato and squash. So this is it, problem solved, because he said anything.
Let me share to you my dish. These are the ingredients I will use.
Ingredients:
ground pork
potato
squash
garlic
onion
bell pepper
red chili (optional)
green chili (optional)
Oil
Salt
Pepper
Water
How to prepare:
*Cut the potato and squash into small cubes.
*Slice as what you desire (garlic, onions, bell pepper and the chili)
*a small amount of oil
*1 teaspoon of salt
*1/8 teaspoon of pepper
*1 1/2 cup of water
How to cook:
*heat a small amount of oil in a pan, once heated stir in the garlic and onions saute’ until it is fragrant.
*add the bell pepper, red and green chili, stir for 2 minutes
*add the ground pork and stir until light brown
*add pepper and salt and stir to blend
*add 1 cup of water, simmer until ground pork become tender
*add another ½ cup of water, then add potato and squash, simmer until 10 minutes.

It’s cooked and ready to served!
This food is rich in vitamins and nutrients. Potato is a source of fiber and also rich in antioxidant that prevent diseases and vitamins that can help our body function properly. Squash improve our cardiovascular health and increase our strength.
I served it hot. I looked at my husband’s face while he tasted the dish. His eyes rolled and said yes! Delicious! A big smile on my face. My heart was very happy. Another achievement for me.
