Fellow Scholars and Scribes! I bid you welcome to the third annual SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT! π mosh pit ensues π
Each year we take a month to celebrate and commemorate our most diligent and talented authors. πΊ
All quotes in this showcase are from the spotlighted creator's works.
Third year running, and there's no way in hell we're doing one of these without our DnD queen. A pillar of the community, and a creative above all else. Ladies, gentlemen, and kids of all ages. It is with great honor that I announce the last Spotlight for this year... π₯π₯π₯
π mellindor π
@mellindor has been sharing her DnD adventures with us for over 3 years now (crazy!). Not only does she write amazingly well, and draw amazingly well, but she is a treat to deal with. Not that you have to deal with her. Unless you get under her bad side. I hear she keeps a drawer filled with ornamental knives in her room, so watch out. π¬
As a Scribe it's been an honor to see her grow over the years. She has continued her steady upward trajectory, and I am not sure how her friends feel about her becoming a published-author-level writer. Will they get jealous once she hits the big leagues? Who knows. Luka Doncic got traded to the Lakers the other day, so I dunno nothing anymore.
Because she's cool like that, Melli (yes, we close like that, I call her Melli, deal with it) has provided us mortals with a handy dandy guide for her stories.
What I adore about Melli's writing is the warm feeling of companionship. It's how she essentially translates her sessions into a gripping narrative. Yes, I can get technical and talk about how her work with tense has improved or how her character dynamics are much better-paced. |But at the end of the day, acquiring a unique voice means more than all that stuff IMO. And for better or worse Melli has it - and it is glorious.
Here's an excerpt from her latest story.
He got them the potions they needed, as well as a few others that they hadnβt thought of (Agatha really liked the potion of diminution she found in the back). In the end, they didnβt have all the money that they needed for all that they purchased, but Brimbarius agreed to do some bartering. Maryβs second set of alchemy tools sparked his interest and he was eager to take them off of her hands in exchange of an additional healing potion.

@mellindor is one of a kind. I've been on this platform for almost a decade now, and I have not met many people with her drive and love for the craft. She is a creative soul through and through, and her positive attitude always brightens everyone's day. A model Scribe and an exemplary Scholar. I wish her nothing but the best, and hope she stays with us for a long time still Cheers. π₯
