The POBPhotocontest! Sand dunes in the forest.

in #hive-15032911 days ago

When you say sand, you think of the beach. But I thought that I wanted to seek another sand subject for this contest, I wanted to try and be a little more original.
So I dove in to my "construction and building" portfolio but I couldn't find a nice subject to wright about.

Soesterduinen

Than I came across these pictures of a nature area near my house. Soesterduinen, ore the dunes of the town of Soest. Its a big empty space in the middle of the forest and there are some natural sand dunes there.

In the old days they cut down a lot of trees and because of that these dunes were formed.

The day started a bit cloudy and I do love that. It makes this picture feel a bit surreal.
I asked my friend if he could walk op the hill and jump around a bit. I know, its to far away and not really good to see but it does make this picture feel a bit less empty. And I love the way how he jumps across the sand dune.

I walked up the dune too just to show you how it looked from up there. You see the group sitting in the sand in the distance. I had some smoke bombs with me and every buddy was waiting for me to light one up. But I cant find those pictures that quickly. You owe me those pictures.

There also was a bit of color in the field. I love purple heather.

And I also like it if there is a single tree in the middle of a field. It shows you how big a place is and feels a little empty. I like that in photography.

Dutch wild life, bird tracks. this could have been a nice post for in @featheredfriend community.
I think I have a lot of pictures of tracks like this. You owe me those to.

There are still some tree clusters left in the middle of the dunes. They have survived the lumberjacks assault.
